Please Read Carefully!!!!

May 12th is our Fifth Grade Celebration!!! A flyer was sent home two weeks ago about this fun event. If you are able to donate money, time, supplies, or games to the event, please fill out the form that was sent home. Students that

want to tie-dye need to bring in a clean white t-shirt in a gallon size

baggie with their name on the baggie. We have spoken to students that 5th grade

expectations must be met in order to attend. Students need to remember their homework and supplies for class each day.

All children are also expected to behave appropriately in order to attend.

Students not meeting expectations will sit out all or part of the day.

Spelling Bee

The final spellers were selected today. The spelling

bee will take place on May 11th

at 10:30am. All spellers’ parents are welcome to attend

the event. Congrats to our amazing kids!

Information on the talent show was sent home yesterday! Students

need to be ready and prepared for their audition. Try- outs begin on the 12th and continue on the 16th

during specials times. The show will be the 23rd.

Solar OvensInformation was sent home this week about solar ovens. Students in Mrs. Loden’s science class will

need to create a solar oven. These solar ovens can be of any design. If unsure on what to do, directions

on how to make a Pizza Box solar oven were also sent home. Students will cook a s’more in their oven the last week of school. On May 12th, students need to turn in a diagram of their oven as well as a list of

supplies. (This can all be on one paper). The diagram needs to be neat and labeled. On May 19th, all solar ovens are due. We will cook on the first sunny day

after the turn in date.

May 11th is our Mascoutah Middle School Visit. We

will walk over to the middle school and take a tour. Students will have the opportunity to ask

questions and learn about their year at the middle

school.
