Twitter has always been the social media platform that, more than others, is able to capture discussion trends. Peaks of conversations on specific themes that at regional or on a global level identify the most relevant topics for that moment. Here we will look at the areas of discussion and topics associated with the word innovation. We will understand the technological drivers that are allowing us to introduce new elements, make improvements, and mo-dernise products, services and processes under the definition of innovation."Talent Garden Innovation Report 2018" is a study of Twitter conversations at a European level, to understand the most commonly discussed issues that are related to the English word "innovation" or the different translations of this word in all of the European Union languages during 2018.

855,432 tweets about innovation were posted in the last year from 167,922 unique users (64% men and 36% women) featuring hundreds of hashtags.The word innovation, seen from the Twitter conversation observatory, is connected to themes strictly linked to enabling technologies and tech star-tups while seeing them as an engine for economic growth.
