Internal Auditing Boot Camp “Expanded for the Gaming Commission”
Topics Covered
• Role of Internal Audit and the Gaming Commission• Casino Integrity and Game Protection Issues• High Tech Casino Cheating and Current Industry Scams• Update on Changes in the Casino Environment• Auditing Techniques (Beyond the MICS)• Newly Issued AICPA Accounting and Gaming Guide• Possible Changes to the NIGC MICS• Title 31 Compliance and Recent Developments• Efficient and Effective Report Writing
The Seminar Purpose? Most Tribal Casinos have made a significant investment in the internal audit and gaming commission function recommended by the NIGC Minimum Internal Control Standards. However, external audit and NIGC scrutiny have resulted in numerous compliance violations as it relates to the internal audit function. As the internal audit role has evolved, so has the responsibility upon the department. Annual continuing education also helps ensure that your auditors are following the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing promulgated by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
We will RAFFle a pair of rodeo tickets the first day of the seminar
