These two men are serving the Lord in Valley Isle Fellowship in some very vital ways and I believe that you will be blessed by their sharing. Seeing Jeremy take this next step from being a part of a church staff to now being the Senior Pastor is somewhat of a wonder to both Clarice and me. We have always prayed for all three of our children to develop a love and commitment to Jesus Christ that would cause them to live powerfully for our Lord. We are rejoicing that that prayer is coming to fruition as all three of them have dedicated spouses and are all living to love and serve Him. Taking the Weekend OffPastor Stephen Kaneshiro

Lord’s desires. Last Sunday, as we celebrated Easter, there were many men and women who stepped up and sacrificed much. Many came before 5:30 AM to begin setting up for the Sunrise Service. Many helped to prepare the food and refreshments that we all enjoyed. Many of you invited family, friends, and acquaintances to come, and many did come. So many of you are beginning to step up and are giving up your I don’t want to’s. It is really exciting to see where you, as individuals, and you, as Valley Isle Fellowship, will end up. God is providing everything that we need to bring glory and honor to Him and in so many cases, the missing ingredient is us. However, I see a new day ahead of us as we are rising to the occasion. I want to encourage all of you to continue to allow the Lord to disciple you com-pletely so that your will be all that He desires. He has provided everything that we need and we just have to show up and respond with zeal and passion to what He has laid out for us. Isn’t it exciting to be a part of a body, a fellowship, a church that is striving to be all that God desires of us? Don’t let anything or anyone discourage you and cause you to change course. Let’s continue to journey towards bringing all glory and honor to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. God bless all of you!!!

*Dhaka, Bangladesh(DAH-kah) - In Bangladesh, women are seen as less valuable than men. If a young woman has not married by the time she is in her thirties, she is often considered to be a burden to her family and even thought of as having something wrong with her. In this culture, the woman’s responsibility, the reason she was created, is to have chil-dren. Her worth is found in providing an heir for her husband. Please pray for women, even well-educated ones, who are experiencing oppression. Ask that they will come to know Jesus Christ, who loves them and considers them worth dying for.

*Yangon, Myanmar(yan-GONG) - Burmese believers are surrounded on all sides by Buddhist pagodas and devout followers. It can be difficult for churches to reach out to their all-Buddhist community. Life Church* has recently become passion-ate about telling their neighbors the Good News. They recently began evangelistic outreaches in their neighbor-hood each Wednesday and Friday. Pray for many open hearts and for lives to be changed. (*name changed)

*Dakar, Senegal(dah-KAR) - “What an awesome day to praise the Lord! We finished out a week of ministry with a new sister in Christ, Jane.* Please pray for her as she begins her new life as a believer. Pray for boldness as she shares her new faith with her family and friends. She told us that when she was seven years old, she had a dream about Jesus, and the things she heard in class today brought it all back to her, and she began to weep. At the end of class, when we asked if she would like to accept the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, she said yes! We prayed the sinner’s prayer with her, and she was so happy to feel God’s peace. Please pray for her friend Jill.* The Lord is drawing her as well, but she wasn’t ready today. Jill is married to a Christian and has three children. Her oldest son is nine and is asking a lot of questions about Jesus. He wanted to know when he could have a Bible. Jill told us that when he got one, he was so happy and excited that he couldn’t eat his dinner. Jill was up at 6:00 the next morning, reading the Bible. When her son got up and saw her, he was so happy. Please pray that as she reads God’s Word, he will reveal himself to her clearly. Pray that she will accept Jesus as Lord.” (*names changed)

“Please keep our planters and families in your prayers. We are in a spiritual battle every day. Also, we need more indigenous church planters. We are the only denomination planting churches across Puerto Rico, so our task is big, but our God is bigger. We are really attached to Luke 10:2.” - Carlos Rodriquez, Puerto Rico Send Area Missionary
