Welcome to our Official Tactical Hapkido AllianceU.S. Marine Correspondent and Newest Charter Member:

The Tactical Hapkido Alliance would like to welcome with open arms SSgt SamuelAlbright of the 2D Marine Logistics Group of the II Marine Expeditionary Force, andMaster Gil Alcocer who will be our North Carolina THA representatives out of theJacksonville Tae Kwon Do Institute.

SSgt SamuelAlbright will be our official THA Marine correspondent to our organizationand will contribute from time to time articles in this newsletter. He is also a member ofthe American Combat Fighting Arts Association, Order of Combat USA, InternationalTae Kwon Do Federation and is a black belt in the Marine Corps Martial Art Program.

Master Gil Alcocer, will be our primary NC representative for the Tactical HapkidoAlliance, he is a 4th Dan in ITF Tae Kwon Do and is ranked in several other arts, andhas been teaching for over 30 years.

The 2nd Marine Logistics Group (2nd MLG) is a logistics unit ofthe United States MarineCorps and is headquartered at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. 2ndMLG was formerly known as 2nd Force Service Support Group (FSSG). With thechanging times and previous missions conducted during recent conflicts, the FSSGswithin the Marine Corps were reorganized into what is now known as Marine LogisticsGroups.

They conduct general and direct supply support operations and receives, stores,distributes and manages supply material and information. They also provide health anddental service support, military police support including maneuver and mobility, areasecurity and law and order interment operations to the Marine Air-Ground Task Force.They also provide support for deployed units by transporting gear via land and air.They provide engineering support of a deliberate nature to Marine Expeditionary Forcesand intermediate maintenance support for Marine Corps furnished by tactical ordnance,engineer, motor, repairable support to include stocking, storing and fiscal accountingfor normal accounting.

Tactical Hapkido and Best Defense Update:Darryl Johnson of Media Moguls has been making hundreds of calls to largecorporations and non-profits this month as a part of a fund raising drive for BestDefense.

If you would like to help out, they are requesting individuals to donate their old cellphones to Media Moguls, Inc. Please send your old cell phones to 5247 Wilson MillsRoad, #212 Richmond Heights, Ohio 44143. A company has agreed to convert these

cell phones into cash.

In addition, the Cleveland Sight Center has agreed to be an early sponsor for the BestDefense. The Cleveland Sight Center is an organization that has been in existence forover 100 years and has earned a reputation of excellence when it comes to helping andempowering people with serious vision loss.

The Cleveland Sight Center is in total agreement behind the Best Defense InternetSeries mission which is, "seeking to empower people with serious eye loss or blindnessthrough the use of Martial Arts disciplines." The Best Defense approach is non-traditional because they are using the marketing power of the Internet to help show theworld how resourceful and powerful disabled people are.

The Cleveland Sight Center will provide Best Defense the following:

(1) Audio Descriptions tools - This will allow someone who is totally blind enjoy the

program by verbally describing scenes that appear in the series.

(2) Public Relations/Marketing - The Cleveland Sight Center marketing resources willhelp the Best Defense goal of turning this Internet series into a television show that isseen on a major network. The more people who sign in and watch the Best DefenseInternet Series, then the greater justification we have that this series should bebroadcast on a television network.

New Tactical Hapkido Alliance Podcast Show!

In our world leadership style,the Tactical Hapkido Alliancenow has our own podcast

shows with GrandmasterRodemaker, other worldrenownedguests from the martial artscommunity and more.

Utilizing the latest voice communication technology provided by Skype and Audacity,now all individuals and Tactical Hapkido students can have their martial arts questionanswered by the Grandmaster and by our guests. The podcasts focus on TacticalHapkido system, martial arts history, compelling interviews and discussions with someof the most well know martial artists in the world.

These podscasts are put on the Tactical Hapkido Blog every other month for you tolisten to. Episode 1: Firm Foundations an Interview with Grandmaster Rodemaker is upnow CLICK HERE TO LISTEN. The shows are to be uploaded on Apples iTunes for you

iTunes listeners.In the future we may investigate a plan to do live shows, by allowing call ins via landline phone call or voice over IP sessions. But right now we are sticking with Skype.

This is a unique opportunity to get your students interested or get their questionsanswered from the Grandmaster himself and other well known martial artists. You cansubmit your questions currently via email, but like we stated before we may move intousing the land-line communication channels to call in live during the show.

As stated in our blog, we have some martial arts worlds greatest movers and shakerslined up in the works. One is one of the top Jeet Kwon Do Grandmaster and professorand the other is the worlds top knife designer and trainers.

Our pilot show has already received hundreds of hits a day and we have not evenstarted yet!

New Tactical Hapkido Blog Site is Up and Running!

The Tactical Hapkido Alliances official blog is now up and running. Within two weeksour THA Official blog received well over 1,000 hits already!

This blog is running through WordPress which is connected to the fasted growingTwitter social networking and micro-blogging service that allows our users to send andread other users' updates (known as tweets).

So all of you prospective writers extraordinaire, you can register for an account to putyour articles on this blog. But all writers will have to be granted access to submitarticles by invitation only, but comments are welcome as long as you register first.This will prevent abuse and spamming that is found on other sites and fine tune theuser accounts to meet our specific needs while still providing you with the best martialarts blogging community possible.

There will be a lot going on in this blog and everyones comments are welcome. Thisblog will have additional articles, stories, analysis and events not listed in thisnewsletter posted for all to view.

This is a winner-take-all contest for the video

that gets the most views on the You Tube, on the Tactical Hapkidos website and votesby viewers.

The winner will win the next training videos that cover Tactical Hapkidos trapping,knife and stick. This also includes the Sharkee knife as part of this package.

Tactical Hapkido Alliance Prayer Team:

As stated in our first podcast, Firm Foundations, we are a unique organization unlikeanyone else that stands true to what the THA was founded on. As such we would liketo let everyone one know we are establishing a Tactical Hapkido Alliance prayer teamconsisting of any one who would like to be a team member.

We realize that these are trying times and we would like for everyone that receives this

newsletter that you are not alone and are a part of our family. If there is anything thatyou need prayer for all you have to do is send an email [email protected] and our team members will include it in our prayermeeting.

Please include at least what you need prayers for and everything else is optional.

From our beginnings we have seen doors swing wide open that we never anticipatedand had prayers answered in way we never expected by solely trusting in the Lord.

Due to the rapidly deteriorating economicconditions in the United States, it isunderstandable that was little interest in havingthis seminar.

Tactical Hapkido Alliance has established Bibles for Martial Artists. Staying true to theChristian believes that this organization was founded on, Grandmaster Rodemaker isasking for voluntary donations to cover the purchase of the bibles and for shipping.

There will be information placed on the THA website where individuals can send theirname and address to get their free New Testament Bible.

This donation is not tax deductable and is purely voluntary.

The Tactical Hapkido Alliance has a specialoperating manual specially designed forCombat Services personnel. This manualwas made for military, intelligence, policeand security personnel who have to get thetraining quickly and thoroughly on top of thetraining they already received. This manualtakes all the techniques in the regularmanuals (white to master series) and breaksthe techniques down to 8 main concepts. Inthis manual the instructor is to teach theconcept and then the student will apply it toa variety of situations by examples.

THA Chaplain Corner: Living Well

When Jesus decided that his time had come to go to Jerusalem to suffer and die at thehands of the authorities; he first went up to a high mountain to talk with God. He tookPeter, James and John with him, and before the disciples very eyes, they saw Jesustransfiguredhis appearance changed into something divine. They saw Moses and Elijahstanding with Jesus. They also saw a cloud which they knew was the presence of God.They heard Gods voice.

Peter was awe-struck and didnt know what to say; but Peter being Peter, he saidsomething anyway: Master, how wonderful it is to be here. Let James, John and mebuild you three shelters so we can stay here. Peter didnt want this mountain topexperience to end. But end it did, and he soon found himself down in the valley, back intdaily life with the rest.

Mountain top experiences are wonderful. Who can blame Peter for wanting to stay. Butwe never can. God calls us back to ordinary life. It is in daily life that he has called us tolive with faith, walking in his paths. It is also in daily life where we are most likely to meeour savior. Peter and Andrew, James and John met Jesus because they were at theirwork, fishing. The two on the road to Emmaus met Jesus because they were going abouttheir daily business.

And Jesus teaches that we meet him in our daily service to others. Remember what hewill say to his people at the end of time: When I was hungry, you gave me food; whenthirsty, you gave me drink; when I was a stranger, you took me into your home; whennaked, you clothed me; when I was ill, you came to my help; when in prison, you visitedme. When you do these things to the least of my brothers and sisters, Jesus said, you dit unto me. We meet Jesus most often, not on the mountain tops, but in our ordinarylivesand especially when we reach out to others in his name.

Football games are most often won not by Hail Marys, but by solid play on the field.Basketball games are most often won not by Slam-dunks, but by teamwork on the court.Baseball games are most often won not by a home run in the bottom of the ninth, but byconsistent base hits.

Life is best lived not on the mountain tops, but by faithful living, day by day.
