Team simulator of a BМP-2 crew provides:►Performing by a trained crew of operations and algorithms of combat
performance on BМP-2 in full scale (from taking up workplaces till locating a target, making a shot/discharge and scoring the fire results)
►Control of movement and fire with the use of simulators of BМP-2 control bodies, aiming and observation devices
►Displaying in simulators of aiming and observation devices only visible objects and sites on a 3-D terrain model
►Simulation of operation of standard communication means and sound effects accompanying firing, engine and equipment operation

AUTOMATED WORKSTATION OF AUTOMATED WORKSTATION OF CONTROLCONTROL
Composition of the AWC’s software :Module of binding electronic topographic maps

Database editors of performance characteristics units of weapon and combat equipment, missiles and ammunition, organization and establishment(O&E) of military units, initial composition and state of opposing parties;

of parties, battle conditions, control over the course of trainings, imitation;
Modules of modeling adaptive actions of simulated units and fire units;
Automated workstations of control (AWC) are a part of the control station of the simulator TacSim and are designated for preparing, conduct and analysis of the results of tactical exercises, trainings and drills (hereinafter – trainings).

By means of an AWC training instructors perform:►Preparation of tactical exercises and trainings, defining the concept of a training, composition, position and state of opposing parties, their tasks, weather conditions, and terrain sector for conduct of a training►Plotting tactical environment on an electronic topographic map with the use of conventional tactical signs►imitation (interactive control over actions of simulated units and firepower of neighbors and senior officer)►gathering, processing and displaying the data on the course and results of accomplishment of tactical and weapons tasks by trainees►Communication by radio with trainees and control over radio communication in their nets►Record and playback of instructive and specific fragments of trainings►Printing out necessary data (including electronic topographic maps)►Displaying the results of parties in the course of a battle in the form of tables and diagrams(correlation of forces, losses of parties, ammunition and fuel consumption and the like.)

Geoinformational technologies applied in the simulator TacSim allow solving the following tasks:

8 NEW FORMS OF TRAINING OF NEW FORMS OF TRAINING OF motorized rifle UNITSmotorized rifle UNITS
1. Firing and fire control trainings of units on the simulator of a motorized rifle battalion – a form of operational coordination of units, training BМP-2 commanders, platoons and squadrons of techniques and methods of units’ fire control.
Trainings are conducted on the basis of team simulators of crews and automated commander’s stations (ACS) by way of practical training of fire system organization and units’ fire control in the course of conduct of two-way training or training simulated combats.
3. Tactical trainings of control of units during a battle on the simulator of a motorized rifle battalion – a form of training of БМП-2 commanders, platoons, squadrons and battalions of techniques and methods of organization of combat operations and control of units during a battle.
Training are conducted without participation of crews and team simulators, but with the use of automated commander’s stations and control station only by way of accomplishing tactical tasks and training of specific tactical episodes in the course of two-way simulated battles.
4. Tactical exercises on the simulator of a motorized rifle battalion – a form of tactical training and operational coordination of a motorized rifle battalion (squadron), training of the battalion (squadron) commander of techniques of organization and conduct of a battle.
Trainings are conducted with participation of a battalion or squadron (intact crews, platoons and squadrons without motorized infantry riflemen) с with the use of simulator of a motorized rifle battalion in full strength by way of accomplishing tactical tasks in various types of a two-way training (training simulated) combat.
2. Tactical trainings on the simulator of a motorized rifle battalion – a form of operational coordination of platoons and squadrons, upgrading skills of commanders in organization of a battle and control of units during a battle.
Trainings are conducted on the basis of team simulators of crews and automated commander’s stations (ACS) by way of accomplishment by units and platoons of tactical tasks in various types of a two-way training (training and simulated) combat.
Implementation of the simulator of a motorized rifle battalion as a conceptually new training means into practice of combat training results in providing more possibilities of carrying out of tactical training events and objectively creates conditions for appearing new and modification of the existing forms of training, common features of which are:◘ Bilateral nature of trainings and exercises◘ Actions of parties on a 3-D terrain model◘ Real-time displaying the course and results of simulation modeling of parties’ actions and their cross fire activity◘ Simulation of the real structure of radio networks of a battalion ◘ Conduct of training, simulated, and training and simulated combat◘ Possibility of multiple repeating for training of tactical exercises

Training battle is a battle in which trained units of parties act in full strength on team simulators.
Combined actions of trained units on team simulators in the course of a two-way battle (on one site, in common tactical environment and and in the same time scale) allow to approximate considerably conditions of training of units to conditions of conduct of a modern battle.
It is applied at conducting tactical exercises and trainings with motorized rifle battalions acting in armor-protected battle disposition, without simulation of actions of attached and neighboring units and firepower of a senior officer.
In the mode of a training battle the Instructor shall not perform development of the environment and control of actions of simulated units and means.
Simulated battle is a training battle, in which only commanders of parties’units controlling actions of simulated subordinated and attached unites (firepower) are trained with the use of automated workstations.
Simulated battle represents a process of two-way interactive modeling of reciprocal actions of all-arms forces and is characterized by taking into consideration of actions of all forces and strength participating in a battle.
Simulated battle is used at conduct of trainings of control of units during a battle. Instructors in the course of a simulated battle performs development of the
environment, control («imitation») over actions of simulated units and forces of neighbors and a senior officer.
When modeling actions of simulated units the tasks of rational allocation of targets, by-passing insurmountable terrain sectors, march columns and battle dispositions formation, and engineering equipment of positions are solved on the base of software.
Training simulated battle is a training battle in which trained units of parties act in full strength on team simulators, and actions of simulated units and firepower are controlled by trained commanders (for subordinate and attached units) from their automated workstations and Instructors (for neighboring units and firepower of a senior officer).
Training simulated battle combines advantages of both training and simulated battles, and provides wide possibilities of creation for trained units of conditions of a battle close to real ones, and is applied at accomplishing tactical trainings and exercises.

Modeling of forces and strength’s actions is performed on the central server а) control by means of AWC interface over actions of neighbours and a senior officer’s resourcesб) control by means of ACS interface:- motorized rifle units in both armour-protected and dismounted combat disposition;- Organic and attached mortar, anti-tank, artillery and air-defense elements.
In the process of simulation modeling for each simulated unit problems of rational distribution of the existing firepower and remaining ammunition between revealed targets, by-passing insurmountable terrain sectors and overcoming mine obstacles, control of aerosol and smoke agents are solved automatically.
