The Washington Aerospace Partnership (WAP) commissioned the study to fully quan- tify the economic benefits of the aerospace in- dustry in the state as part of its effort to win Boeing's 777X production. Community Attri- butes Inc. performed the analysis by examin- ing all aspects of the aerospace industry: jobs, revenues, wages, firms, and tax revenues ac- crued to Washington State. "This study confirms what I think most Washingtonians believe: the aerospace indus- try is truly a cornerstone of our state's econo- my, creating hundreds of thousands of family wage jobs," said Gov. Jay Inslee. "It also shows what is at stake in keeping production of the 777X here. We have everything to gain from taking action to secure our legacy and our fu- ture." The study also found the aerospace indus- try and related industries paid $11.5 billion in wages in 2012, 11 per cent of the total wages paid in the state last year. When employee spending and business-to-business sales are accounted for, Boeing Commercial's impact alone to Washington State is significant. For every direct job in support of Boeing's aircraft production, an additional 1.8 jobs are sup- ported elsewhere in Washington (a multiplier of 2.8), equal to 207,600 jobs statewide and nearly $13 billion in wages and salaries. Other key findings include: -- Aerospace export sales from Washington State totaled over $37 billion dollars, show- ing growth of $9.5 billion dollars and 34 per cent from 2011 and representing 49 per cent of all Washington State goods exports (based on 2012 dollars); -- Boeing Commercial's activities in Wash- ington supported-via direct, indirect, and in- duced impacts-over $476 million dollars in tax revenue to the State in 2012; -- Since 2004, the aerospace industry has supported $4 billion in state revenues; -- Boeing Commercial Airplanes delivered 601 airplanes in 2012. The 737 and 777 lines continue to lead sales at Boeing and drive eco- nomic activity across the state. In 2012, the 737 line represented an estimated $21 billion dollars in sales, while the 777 line represented total sales of $14 billion dollars; -- The direct impact of the 777 line to Wash- ington State includes an estimated 19,800 jobs at Boeing in support of aircraft final assembly and $2.5 billion in wages and salaries; -- Factoring in total impacts across the state economy, the 777 program alone supports an estimated $20.1 billion in annual economic activity, 56,600 jobs, and $3.2 billion in wag- es and benefits. Production of 777 aircraft in Washington also supported $132.9 million dol- lars in fiscal benefits to the State; -- In 2011, 338 firms took advantage of aero- space tax invectives, representing an employ- ment base of 100,000 workers; -- Boeing's impact in Washington also in- cludes corporate contributions including over $51 million dollars in charitable giving to Washington State organizations by the Boeing Company, its employees, and retirees in 2012. Report: Boeing's local economic impact tops $70B Posted online Tues., Oct. 1 Pierce County Superior Court Judge Kitty-Ann van Doorninck was honored by the state's judiciary for outstanding contributions to youth and public education concerning the legal system. Judge van Doorninck was awarded the Washing- ton Judges' Foundation 2013 Judge William Nevins Award at the Washington State Fall Judicial Con- ference. She was nominated by the board of Safe Streets, the community organization formed to com- bat crime in local neighborhoods, as well as by her peers on the Superior Court bench. Van Doorninck served for many years on the board of Safe Streets, beginning when she was a deputy county prosecutor in the late 1990s. "Kitty-Ann's active leadership and role modeling made a large difference to youth and inspired them to keep up their work," Safe Streets Executive Di- rector Priscilla Lisicich wrote in her nomination let- ter. "She understood the importance of following the best practice of supporting the development of their skills, giving them an opportunity to try different strategies to prevent unhealthy and unsafe activity and then to give them recognition by showing up and actively supporting their activities." Judge van Doorninck also served as Pierce Coun- ty Superior Court's first full-time Family Court judge, chaired state committees that monitor family and juvenile law and currently serves as Presiding Judge of Juvenile Court. She also has volunteered for years as an organizer and judge for the "We the People" high school civics competition, serves on the grant committee for the Fund for Women and Girls, is a senior fellow in the American Leadership Forum, and remains involved in a multitude of other community activities. "It's a great honor to receive the Nevins Award, especially when I look at the list of past recipients," said Judge van Doorninck. "As a judge, I've always felt the most important work I do revolves around families and young people. Many of my colleagues in Pierce County and around the state donate a great deal of time helping families in a variety of ways, including through community education. I'm happy to share this award with them." The Washington Judges Foundation was created in 1999 with the help of a $50,000 bequest from the estate of Lincoln County Superior Court Judge Wil- liam Nevins. The Nevins Award is given annually to a person who contributes significantly to youth education or public understanding of the law and the role of the judiciary in American society. The petitioners have filed with the Clerk of the above court a petition re- questing that any parent-child relation- ship between you and the above- named child be terminated. The child was born on September 20, 2013 in the city of Silverdale, Washington. The mother of the child, Lucy Vanorden, has consented to the adoption of the child by the petitioners. The child is be- lieved to have been conceived in the Tacoma, Washington area in late De- cember, 2012 or early January, 2013.

The court has entered an order set- ting the time and place of the court hearing on the petition to terminate your parent-child relationship. The court hearing on this matter shall be on Friday, November 1, 2013, at 9:00 AM at Pierce County Juvenile Court, 5501 Sixth Avenue, Taco- ma, Washington 98406.

As an alleged father of the child, you have the right to file a claim of pater- nity under RCW 26.26 and to seek custody of the child, to support the child, and to seek to establish a par- ent-child relationship. You have the right to be represented by counsel in that proceeding and counsel will be ap- pointed for an indigent person who re- quests counsel.

Your failure to appear at the hearing referred to above or to respond to this Notice or the Petition for Termination of Parent-Child Relationship or file a claim of paternity within thirty (30) days of the date of first publication of this Notice will result in the court en- tering an order terminating your par- ent-child relationship by default without further notice. A default judgment is one where petitioner is entitled to what he or she asks for because you have not responded. If you serve a notice of appearance on the undersigned per- son, you are entitled to notice before a default judgment may be entered.

One method of responding to this Notice is to send your response to the Clerk of the Court whose address ap- pears below and to the attorney for the petitioner at the address below by certified mail with return receipt re- quested.

You are further notified that if the child named above is an Indian child and if you acknowledge paternity of the child or if your paternity of the child is established prior to the termination of the parent-child relationship, your parental rights may not be terminated unless you (i) give valid consent to ter- mination, or (ii) your parent-child rela- tionship is terminated involuntarily pur- suant to chapter 26.33 or 13.34 RCW.
