25TH ANNIVERSARY GALA TICKETS ON SALE! Today following both services, tickets are on sale for the 25th Pastoral

Anniversary Gala of Pastor Taylor. The event will take place on

Monday, May 21st at the Venetian in Garfield, NJ. Our special

musical guest for the evening will be renowned gospel singer

Karen Clark Sheard!

Tickets are $150 for adults and $75 for children ages 5-12. A payment

plan is available. Tickets are also available on the CBC website,

however, tickets must be paid in full and there will be a $5.00

convenience fee added.

SPRING 2018 BIBLE STUDY REGISTRATION

NOW OPEN Registration for the Spring 2018 Bible Study semester is now open in

the Fellowship Hall and online. Please sign up for classes that will

begin on Tuesday, March 6th. Complete information on course

offerings is available online and in the lobby bins.

DEACONS MINISTRY A Resident Deacon will be in the office to assist the membership with

dire needs and may be reached by phone at 201-500-6001: Monday-

Samuel Williams; Tuesday-Richard Stanard; Wednesday-Harold Oliver;

Thursday-Harold Oliver; Friday-Lorene Frasier.

Also, Deacon James Daffin-201-805-2248 and Deacon Harold Oliver

calls and visitations.

The Deacons Ministry would like to remind the congregation to

STRENGTH AT NOON & PRAYER AND BIBLE STUDY

Strength at Noon will be held on Tuesday, February 13th at 12:00 noon

with lunch served at 11:30am. Pastor Taylor will be teaching The Parables.

Prayer and Bible Study is also on Tuesday, February 13th. Prayer is at

7:00pm; at 8:00pm, Pastor Taylor is teaching a special series based on the

book “The Autopsy of a Deceased Church” by Thom S. Rainer. Books will be

available for purchase prior to class or may also be purchased online

(amazon.com, christianbook.com, etc.).

NORTH JERSEY DISTRICT MISSIONARY BAPTIST

ASSOCIATION 105TH SEMI-ANNUAL SESSION The North Jersey District Missionary Baptist Association Congress of

Christian Education will host their 105th Semi Annual Session on

Saturday, February 10th—Tuesday, February 13th. The theme is

“Building a Relevant Church”; the host church is Solid Rock Baptist

Church, 644 Chancellor Ave., Irvington, NJ. Flyers with detailed

REV. STEF & JUBILATION “FROM THE MIDDLE

PASSAGE” Rev. Stef & Jubilation will perform “From the Middle Passage” on

Saturday, February 24th at 4:30pm here at CBC. Invite your friends and

LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

The General Baptist Convention of New Jersey, Inc. presents a 2018

Leadership Conference entitled “Navigating the Transition Zone” on

Saturday, February 24th, 9:00am—2:00pm. The conference will be

hosted at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, 771 Somerset St.,

Somerset NJ. The cost is $25 which includes continental breakfast

(8:00am—9:00am) and lunch.

To register please visit the Office Staff table in the Fellowship Hall to

complete a registration form. Checks should be made payable to

“Community Baptist Church”; CBC will submit a group registration.
