COMPANY PROFILE

PRIZMA GRUP was formed and started its operations in year 2001 in Ankara, the capital of
Turkey. PRIZMA GRUP’s core business is construction and erection of power plants, cement
plants, steel plants and plants and facilities in the oil and gas (refineries, petrochemical
complexes, gas treatment plants etc.) industries, and in various other chemical industries.
PRIZMA GRUP has also made its presence felt in the turnkey design, supply and construction
of commercial buildings.
From the date it is established, PRIZMA GRUP became a company preferred by the employer
establishments in the sector, because of its strong quality and safety adherences and time
commitment as performed in the implementation of the projects awarded. With the support
of its experienced and specialized manpower, PRIZMA GRUP completed all the projects on
or before the targeted completion dates, to the required quality and safety awareness.
PRIZMA GRUP is presenting a steady growth with its continuing activities in construction,
undertaking jobs in and outside the country and is increasing its managerial and technical
abilities every day with each new project. The number of qualified and experienced
personnel is also rapidly increasing parallel to this growth. PRIZMA GRUP is always looking
towards developing new methods, policies and procedures aiming to decrease the work
period and costs with no compromise on quality and safety.
The most intense competition in global business at present is not for a higher market share
or capital or advanced technology. It is for talent. The companies with the best array of
human skills will receive the greatest rewards. PRIZMA GRUP, with its experienced young
and dynamic staff is eager and ready to take this challenge for projects in and outside the
country as was successfully proved and implemented in its history.

MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
70
PRIZMA GRUP created his own Project Management System with due consideration given to his Project Managers/
Site Managers needs and feedbacks. PRIZMA GRUP continues to improve his management systems constantly.
PRIZMA GRUP’s best practice Project Management Methodology is aligned with the worldwide standards for
Project Management; Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled
Environments). Our methodology provides the perfect road map to our Project Managers/Site Managers for successful
implementation of projects from commencement to delivery. It clearly defines the route a Project Manager/Site
Manager needs to complete the projects on time and within the budget, with no compromise on quality and safety.
PRIZMA GRUP’s Project Management System is the combination of skills, tools and management systems which are
required to execute a project successfully.
A Set of Skills: Specialist knowledge, skills and experience are required to reduce the level of risks within a project
and thereby enhance its likelihood of success.
A Suite of Tools: Various types of tools are used by our Project Managers/Site Managers to improve their chances
of success. Our tools include document templates, tracking logs, planning and monitoring software’s, checklists,
review forms and more.
A Series of Management Systems: Various management systems are applied to plan, implement, monitor and control
time, cost, quality/HSE, risks and scope on our projects.
PRIZMA GRUP’s Project Management approach identifies the major concepts of Project Management; Project
Planning, Project Execution and Project Closure as the three indispensible elements of a gear box.
Project Closure
Project Execution
Project Planning
Accordingly, the three concepts are implemented, expedited and enhanced with the application of various
procedures and sub-management systems as listed in the following Table.

72
As the project size increases, the complexity of the project shall increase, as well. It is imperative that the projects
differing in size and complexity should be managed under single and unified management systems. Therefore,
more flexible and project tailored systems are required to be employed and implemented to deliver projects on
scheduled completion and within the budget.
With due consideration given to this concern and the experiences gained so far have directed PRIZMA GRUP to alter
its approach for the management of the projects differing in size and complexity. The following Project Sizing Table
lists the activities typically undertaken by PRIZMA GRUP for small, medium and large scale projects.

A. PRIZMA GRUP PROJECT PLANNING PHASE
Upon award but prior to start of the site activities of any project, plans made during the proposal phase are re-visited,
enhanced and tailored to meet the needs of the project in accordance with the final agreed terms and conditions.
As can easily be seen in the below logic flow diagram, the plan starts with the Resource Planning (equipment and
facilities) followed by Human Resource Plan and allocations and Procurement Planning. The major stake of the
planning goes to QA/QC and HSE whereby the Client’s specific requirements and conditions are incorporated into
the Company’s tailor made procedures and method statements. Plans and procedures for the Risk Management,
Communications, Financing, Supplier and Sub-Contractor Management comprise the remaining elements of Project
Plan.
It is the utmost interest of the PRIZMA GRUP Management that the Project Plan is proper and meets the provisions
of the contract. Therefore, the Project Plan is closely expedited by the Management to monitor and upgrade the
planned system to ensure that the maximum benefit is secured for project needs.

B. PRIZMA GRUP PROJECT EXECUTION PHASE
Achievement of a succesful project execution can be defined
as the result of proper integration and grinding of phase reviews
as per the Project Plans, timely delivery and construction of the
project equipment and material, close control and monitoring
the activities to keep the project on track.
PRIZMA GRUP has specifically geared itself to execute the projects in this manner and with high efficiency. The
figure herein below summarizes PRIZMA GRUP approach for this task. Factors heavily affecting the execution plans
and implementation, but do not surface up directly, are continuously monitored and controlled with the proper
management procedures, specifically prepared by PRIZMA GRUP to ensure that the objectives of execution is
achievable and problems can be controlled and monitored without jeopardizing the already set system.

C. PRIZMA GRUP PROJECT CLOSURE PHASE
Project Closure Phase has the same importance as the Project Planning Phase. This is the point where the project on
the paper transformed into a physical being, is to be handed over to the Client.
PRIZMA GRUP has inducted such management systems to control and monitor the Project Closure Phase.
Therefore, compliance with the project specific
close-out requirements, handing over the project

PRIZMA GRUP COST MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The budgeted cost of the project
previously has been laid out in
the “Financial Plan”, documented
during the Project Planning Phase.
PRIZMA GRUP Cost Management
System is initiated after the
“Financial Plan” has been approved
by our Project Board and provides
a formal process for monitoring
and control of the actual costs of
the Project, against that originally
budgeted.
The costs are formally documented
through the completion of Expense
Forms. Expense Forms should be
completed by project team weekly
and submitted to the Project
Manager/Site Manager for approval
by the following monday (for the
prior week’s entries).
The Project Manager/Site Manager
may have authority to approve only
budgeted expenditure. Unbudgeted
expenditure over a certain limit may
require the approval of the Project
Board. The logic flow diagram of
the Cost Management System is
provided herewith for immediate
reference.

PRIZMA GRUP COST MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
PRIZMA GRUP Time Management System is undertaken after “Project Plan” has been documented
formally and the project is in execution. The total time currently spent against each individual activity,
task and the corresponding total direct labor cost is calculated.
The Project Manager/Site Manager can identify any slippage on the “Project Plan” if any, and control the
level of resource allocated to each task. Timesheets must be completed weekly and submitted to the
Project Manager/Site Manager for approval. Each time entry must be recorded against an Activity ID and
Task ID as specified in the “Project Plan”.
Our Project Manager/Site Manager to take actions based on the extent of the deviations from “Project
Plan”, if any. In case, the Project Manager/Site Manager will not be able to take corrective actions, raises
a Project Issue (as per Project Issue Management System) for action by our Project Board. The logic flow
diagram of the Time Management System is provided herewith for immediate reference.
