WALK TO THE TOP OFST.PAUL’S ROCK – amazing views
Whangaroa Harbour Walk - 20 minutes drive
From Whangaroa road drive to the top of Hospital Road where you can see the track up to the Rock. Park the car and walkthe track to the top of the Rock.

The beach at Tauranga Bay is an exquisite kilometer-long stretch of north-facing pink sand and is one of the Far North’s favouriteswimming spots.
At the eastern end of the beach is a large public reserve where visitors can park their cars right on the edge of the sand dunesand admire an uninterrupted sea view out to uninhabited Stephenson’s Island and beyond.

TAKE THE SCENIC DRIVE LOOP OVER RADAR HILLAND VISIT THE BEAUTIFUL BEACHES ALONG THE DRIVE TOWARDS MATAURI BAY
AND LOOP BACK ONTO THE 10 HIGHWAY. (40 minutes drive)
Stop at the top of Radar Hill and enjoy the magnificent views. Visit Mahinepua Beach
Stop at the various beaches along the way. Drive down to Matauri Bay Beach (wonderful views). The loop road takes youback onto the 10 highway. A wonderful scenic drive and an alternative route south to Kerikeri and on to Auckland.

VISIT THE HERITAGE VILLAGE OF MANGONUI – DOUBTLESS BAY (40 minutes drive)
DINE AT THE WORLD FAMOUS FISH AND CHIP SHOP
Visit the local beaches at Doubtless Bay & check out the local shops.
Past Kaeo turn left over the one way bridge (10 highway) towards Mangonui.

CAPE REINGA –WHERE THE PACIFIC OCEAN AND THE TASMAN SEA MEET.
A full day trip!. Directions: take the one-way bridge towards Mangonui – keep on the 10 until you reach the “1” motorway. Turn right up the “1” towards Cape Reinga. Take a side trip to 90 mile beach on the way. (There are a number of turnoffs to the
left to the beach) Although 90 mile beach is a legal road.. it is not advisable to drive you car on the beach due to saltdamage and quicksand

TAKE THE FERRY FROM PAIHIA TO RUSSELL AND SEE THE BAY OF ISLANDS
Take the 10 highway south and turn left at the Paihia turn off (approx 40 minutes ). The ferries leave every 20-30 minutes fromthe Paihia waterfront. You can purchase tickets at the waterfront shops. Check out the local shops and restaurants in
Russell & Paihia.
Also visit the Waitangi Carved Meeting House. Cruises also go out to the Hole in the Rock at the head of the bay.

KERIKERI SHOPPING (35 minutes drive)
Visit the charming town of Kerikeri with Citrus groves and kiwifruit vines . Visit the many tourist attractions: Kemp House (The oldeststanding building in New Zealand- 1822), The Old Stone Store (1835), Riverboat rides, walks, Rainbow Falls and great shopping
and restaurants.
Take the 10 south and turn left at Waipapa/Kerikeri junction. Don’t miss the sign on the right to Rainbow Falls.
