Installation

Indoor Unit

Pipelines can be connected as indicated in Fig 1.

When the pipelines are connected to any exit points at the side of the unit, a groove for the pipes will need to be created at the required positions on the base stand.

1 – Installation of the wall-mounting plate

Fix the wall-mounting plate firmly to the wall with screws. Make sure the plate is completely level before screwing it in. A slanted wall-mount plate maycause issues with draining the condensed water.

2 – Drill holes in the wall

Drill holes in locations slightly below the wall-mount plate, with a hole diameter of 65mm (2-3/5”) and with the outer edge of the hole 5-10mm lower (as shown in Fig 2) so the condensed water can flow out.Cut the wall penetrating pipe to the proper length according to the thickness of the wall (plus 3-5mm length longer than the wall), and insert the pipe as shown in Fig 2.

3 – Installation of drain pipe

Install the pipelines of the indoor unit in accordance with the direction of the wall holes. Wrap the drain pipe and the other pipelines tightly with tape, makingsure that the drain pipe is running underneath the other pipelines. (As seen in Fig 3).(When the drain pipe passes into the room interior, some condensed water might form on the surface if humidity is high).

4 – Installation of indoor unit

Pass the connective wires, pipelines and drain pipe through the wall hole. Hang the indoor unit on the hooks at the top of the wall-mount plate so that the hooks at the bottom of the indoor unit match the hooks on the wall-mount plate. (Fig 4).

Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: I shut the unit down, and then tried to start it up again and it won't work.A: There is a three minute protection timer built into the air conditioner to protect the unit from unnecessary stresses and wear.

Q: I turned the air conditioner on to heat mode and it isn't blowing air.A: To avoid cold air being blown into the room, the unit will not blow out air until the heat exchanger is warmed up. This may take several minutes. In cases where the temperature outside is extremely low, the unit will often need to defrost itself before operation, which may take up to 10 minutes.

Q: I was using the air conditioner in cooling mode, then turned it off. The unit kept blowing air for a short time afterwards.A: To avoid the growth of mould, the indoor fan will continue to run at low speed for a short timeto dry any moisture inside the unit.

Q: I turned the air conditioner on to cooling mode and it is blowing out mist.A: When the temperature and humidity in the room is high this can occur. Once the humidity and temperature in the room drops, this will stop.

Q: I heard a strange cracking noise from the unit.A: This sound can be caused by refrigerant circulating inside the unit.

Q: My remote control signals are not being received, and the batteries are not flat.A: Remote control signals may not be received when the signal receiver on the air conditioner itself is exposed to direct sunlight or other strong lighting. In this event, turn out some lights or close curtains/blinds.
