    2nd Year National Diploma in Music Technology The Brief This project requires you to create 2 remixes for the purposes of marketing a project/ original recording. You will ensure these marketing tools are fit for purpose in terms of genre and are capable of attracting an audience. This assignment goes hand in hand with your studies of the music industry. First you must CHOOSE A PREFERRED GENRE.. ie; Pop, alternative, RnB, Hip Hop, Metal etc.. Then, in your groups you will;

    (i) Produce 2 REMIXES (cover versions may also be considered) in the style of your PREFERRED GENRE, 1 of which can be of the Daft Punk mix. You may use external musicians should you require assistance. You can work in groups or individually. If you work in groups you can deliver one group remix, but you will need to provide one additional remix per person.

    (ii) Ensure you chose material from AS FAR outside your chosen genre as possible; you should then incorporate stylistic elements consistent with your preferred style. Your two finished mixes should closely match in terms of sound.

    (iii) Post both tracks on your blog and explain in a minimum of 1000 words how your remixes could be used to attract traffic and profile to original recordings.

    Tasks: 1. Assign recorded sound to the sampler/Logic and utilise manipulated audio samples (Unit 37 GC3) 2.
