Better Capability

Today, the legacy of the T53 remains intact as a

properly maintained engine that still meets the

industry's most rigorous reliability standards.

With continuous improvements resulting in

a 17-29% increase in payload capability, the

engine also supports more modern airframes

such as the manned and unmanned variants of

the K-MAX® heavy-lift utility helicopter and the

Eagle Single STC upgrade of the Bell 212.

Better Fuel Efficiency The T53 provides 4-6% lower specific fuel

consumption over the entire operating range

which reduces helicopter operating expenses.
