Block AssemblyNote: The arrows in the figures represent the fabric print direction. Pay attention the fabric direction and component orientation when assembling the components.1. Place (1) B 2 ½” square on the left side of (1) C 2 ½” x 4 ½” strip, right sides together (Fig. 1).Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 1).Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance. Flip open thetriangle formed and press (Fig. 2).

2. Place another B 2 ½” square on the right side of the C 2 ½” x 4 ½” strip, right sides together(Fig. 3). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower rightcorner (Fig. 3). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seamallowance. Flip open the triangle formed and press to make (1) Unit 1 strip (Fig. 4).

3. Repeat Steps 1-2 to make (12) Unit 1 strips total.

4. Sew (3) Unit 1 strips together end to end to make (1) Side Strip.Repeat to make (4) Side Strips total.

5. Sew (1) Side Strip to each side of (1) A 12 ½” square. Sew (1) C2 ½” square to each end of (1) Side Strip. Repeat to make a secondstrip. Sew the new strips to the top and to the bottom of the Asquare to make the Center Block (Fig. 5).

6. Repeat Steps 1-2, refer to Figure 6 for fabric identification,placement and seam direction and use (6) E 3 ½” x 6 ½” strips and(12) H 3 ½” squares to make (6) Unit 2 strips.

7. Repeat Step 6 and refer to Figures 7-11 for fabric identification, placement, orientation andseam direction to make (6) Unit 3 strips, (1) Unit 4 strip, (1) Unit 5 strip, (1) Unit 6 strip and (1)Unit 7 strip.

Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Diagram while assembling the quilt top.)12. Sew (1) D 3 ¾” x 16 ½” strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) D 3 ¾” x 23” strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

13. Sew (1) B 1 ¼” x 23” strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) B 1 ¼” x 24 ½” strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

14. Sew the Left Side Border and the Right Side Border to the left and to the right of the Center Block. Sew the Top Border and the Bottom Border to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

Finishing15. Layer and quilt as desired.

16. Sew the (4) B 2-1/2” x WOF strips together end-to-end with 45-degree seams to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

17. Bind as desired.

8. Sew together (1) Unit 3 strip, (1) Unit 7 strip, (1) Unit 2 strip and (1) Unit 3 strip, end to end, to make the Left Border (Fig. 12).

9. Sew together (1) Unit 3 strip, (1) Unit 5 strip, (1) Unit 2 strip and (1) Unit 3 strip, end to end, to make the Right Border (Fig. 13).

10. Sew together (1) H 3 ½” square, (1) Unit 2 strip, (1) Unit 3 strip, (1) Unit 4 strip, (1) Unit 2 strip and (1) H 3 ½” square, end to end and in that order, to make the Top Border (Fig. 14).

11. Sew together (1) H 3 ½” square, (1) Unit 2 strip, (1) Unit 3 strip, (1) Unit 6 strip, (1) Unit 2 strip and (1) H 3 ½” square, end to end and in that order, to make the Bottom Border (Fig. 15).
