FORMED.ORG Don’t forget about your FREE subscription to Formed.org, where you can stream hundreds of hours of inspiring movies and video series, read Catholic eBooks, and listen to audio presentations from compelling speakers.

To Get Started: Go to formed.org; enter our Parish Code on the homepage: 4CZMDN; create a personal account with your email and a password of your choosing.

PROGRAM RECOMMENDATION FOR THIS WEEK: CATHOLICISM: Word Made Flesh, True Bread of Heaven(Movie): Bishop Barron explores the ancient prac ces of the Church’s worship that endure to this very day and the no on that “all value is summed up in the Liturgy, the supreme act by which we commune with God.” Considered by the Catho-lic Faith to be “the source and summit” of its iden ty and mission, the Eucharist at the heart of the Church’s culture. Bishop Barron describes all the parts of the Mass and shows how the Sacred Liturgy embod-ies the whole of the Faith in such di-verse places as Jerusalem, Rome, Chi-cago, Orvieto, and Mexico City. Listen to what one of our parishioners has to say about her experience with Formed.org: “I wish all parishioners could realize what a treasure we have been given with this subscription. This last week I watched an-other movie (Padre Pio) and also listened to a recorded story (The Shadow of the Bear) that included our own Leondardo DePhilippis, before running into him at the store the next day. I know I overlooked this resource for the longest time, but not any-more. There is much that competes for our attention online, but this is really quality Catholic material—at least what I have dis-covered. Thank you Bishop Sartain and Fr. Harris for providing FORMED.org to us!”

"Charmaine Yoest, who once served as President of Ameri-cans United for Life (AUL), a prominent beltway pro-life group, has stated on previous occasions that abor on in-creases the risk of breast cancer. This posi on was promi-nently men oned and cri cized in ar cles run by a number of media outlets. Last month, Washington Post fact-checker Michelle Ye He Lee conducted an analysis of the link be-tween abor on and breast cancer. Lee acknowledges that academic studies da ng back to the 1950s show that abor-

on increases the risk of breast cancer. Lee also contacted both the American Associa on of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AAPLOG) and the Breast Cancer Preven on Ins tute (BCPI), both of whom support the abor on–breast cancer link. Lee does find probable the arguments put forth by AAPLOG and BCPI that, due to changes in hormone pro-duc on and breast- ssue development during pregnancy, late-term abor ons may increase the risk of breast cancer".
