PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Welcome to Three Rivers Racing, or TR2 for short! TR2 is a nationally recognized program that offers alpine ski race programs in Minnesota, and camps at Winter Park Colorado and Mt. Hood, Oregon. In Minnesota, we partner with Three Rivers Park District’s Hyland Hills, Wild Mountain, Mt. Kato and Powder Ridge. We have been successfully coaching alpine ski racers of all ages for over 40 years. TR2 offers programs for new and developing racers, high school ski team members and athletes aspiring to national competitions, D1/D3 college racing and Worldcup/Olympic racing with the US Ski Team. Our coaches are trained on PSIA and USSA methods to develop great skiing skills and excellent racing tactics. We have a low racer to coach ratio and our philosophy is simple: POSITIVITY at all times.

952-334-3223 [email protected] TR2’s Hyland D-Team is a 31 year alpine race development program with a strong legacy of making skiing FUN! The D-Team program is for youth ages 6 to 18. We teach alpine skiing skills, coach racing tactics and sportsmanship and have fun doing it! No ski racing experience is required to join the D-Team! All participants should know how to ski safely and ride the lift without assistance. Please see the following documents for detailed information:

Program Highlights • Flexible practice schedule
• Local one-day races in the MN Snowsports Development League.
There is a Saturday League and a Sunday League and racers select
one or both leagues during registration. Racers ski 2 runs of Slalom
and 2 runs of Giant Slalom at each race. Emphasis is on friendly
competition and learning.
• Race clinic for parents on Saturdays.
• Race Day Only options for high school racers who want additional racing experience.
Practices We are flexible - come to as many practices as you like. Most racers attend a weeknight and a weekend practice. We base in the new beautiful Hyland Chalet. Practices are:
• Tuesday/Thursday 7:00 – 8:30 PM
• Saturday 8:30 – 11:00 AM
• Sundays 2:00 – 4:30 PM
New for 2017-2018 • A Christmas holiday camp has been added to the schedule and is included in your fees. Dates
are December 26-29, 8:00 – 10:30 am (tentative times).

Hyland TR2 D-Team Fees All TR2 D-Team programs include a race bib, TR2 pom-pom hat and race entry fees. TR2 members can take advantage of camps and other programs offered within the TR2 family. Lift passes for practices and races are not included in team fees.

TR2 offers extra training and expert coaching for high school racers during weekday afternoons and three holiday camps. We also offer additional racing options. Program Highlights

o NEW at Hyland: Galaxy Cup USSA Train & Race Option –
Includes training and 8 local USSA races for athletes 12 - 18
years. Races are SL and GS. This is a “USSA Lite” option for
racers wanting race experience in the USSA league.

High School Development Fees
Hyland $ 990 Includes Thanksgiving Camp at Wild Mtn, Christmas Camp at Hyland and Spring Camp at Hyland
Hyland with USSA Galaxy Cup Racing $1190 Includes Thanksgiving Camp at Wild Mtn, Christmas Camp at Hyland and Spring Camp at Hyland. USSA/Region 1 fees are additional.
Wild Mountain $ 990 Includes Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Camps at Wild Mtn
Mt. Kato $ 690 Includes Christmas Camp at Mt. Kato
Lift passes for various ski areas are not included in the team fees.

TR2 offers one of the most experienced USSA/FIS coaching staffs in the country. We have trained athletes to D1/D3 College Racing, US Ski Team, World Cup and Olympic Levels. Program Highlights
• Age groups are: U10 (9 and under, U12 (10/11), U14
(13/14) and U16 and Up (15 and older)
• U14 and under race SL, GS and Super G (SG).
• U16 and older race SL, GS, SG & Downhill (DH).
Speed events (SG & DH) are primarily for JR.
Championship qualifications.
• Lunar Cup is a Region 1 four race opportunity for
athletes 11 years and younger. Lunar Cup has both SL & GS
events. All Lunar Cup races are two, one run races. Each
run/race has a winner.
• Galaxy Cup is a TR2 race opportunity for athletes 12 – 18 with 8
races in both SL & GS.
• All scored races (including Galaxy Cup), are comprised of two
run with total time determining the winner.

Team Fees listed above for all ski areas do not include a USSA membership ($ 50 - $ 150 depending
on age) , USSA Region 1 ($10 - $60 depending on age) fee or race registration fee ($15-25 per race
depending on age).
• The TR2 Hyland Lunar Cup USSA registration fee is $75-$85 depending on age and includes:
USSA non-scored membership fee, USSA Region 1 fee and race entry fees at 4 races. No
additional fees are required (other than lift passes). Register at http://skifast.com only.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• All skiers must have lift passes at ski areas for training, camps and races. Season passes and
daily race lift passes are not included in the fees listed above.
