The awards were presen ted by Lt . Col . Alden W. Janke , Professor of Military Science at PMC. The Moores ", twin brothers from North Babylon , have distinguished themselves as cadets both by their high academic averages and by their active participation in campus and military organizations . Ja ck , a business major , is a member of the highly acclaimed PMC Ranger Platoon ; while Ed , a civil engineer major belongs to the society of military engineers. Both cadets ha ve served in the elite cadre positions to train freshman cadets. Sergeant MICHAEL M. BRETON, son of Mr. and Mrs . Joseph P. Breton of 207 Malts Ave., West Islip has re-enlisted in the U. S. Air Force after being selected for career status. Sergeant Breton , an air traffic control specialist at Lorihg AFB , Maine , was approved for re- enlistm en t by a board which considered his character and job performance. He is assigned to a unit of the Air Force Communications Service which provides global communications and air traffic control for the USAF. The sergeant , a 1966 graduate of West Islip High School , at- tended Suffolk County Comm. College Selden , His wife is the former Therese A. Blank. . Navy Airman Apprentice GUY A. SCHNEIDER , son of Mrs. Doris H. Schneider of 103 A W. Main St., Babylon graduated from recruit training at the Naval Training Center in Great Lakes A 1970 graduate of Babylon Junior Senior High School , he is scheduled to report to Damage Controlman "A" School , Philadelphia. Navy Seaman VINCENT CUZZO, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel P. Cuzzo of 100 3 N. Hamilton Ave., Lindenhurst , completed basic Radioman School at Bainbridge , Md. He is a 1969 graduate of Lindenhurst High School. AIRMAN GEORGE J. MAURER IV, son of Mr. and Mrs. George J. Maurer III of 399 Spruce Ave., West Islip, has completed his U.S. Air Force basic training at the Air Training Command' s Lackland AFB, Tex. He has been assigned to Chanute AFB, 111., for training in aircraft maintenance. Airman Maurer is a 1971 graduate of West Islip High School. U.S. Air Force Captain PAUL G. GIUSTI , son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Giusti , 12 Thoreau , North Babylon , has received the Distinguished Flying Cross for aerial achievemen t in Vietnam. The captain distinguished himself as a C-130E Hercules cargo-troop carrier aircraft commander when he directed his aircraft and crew on a tactical, emergency mission to Due Pho Airfield. Despite enemy 'fire , adverse weather and darkness , he con- tinued the approach into the mountainous site without the use of navigational aids to suc- cessfully conclude the mission . The Captain was honored in ceremonies at Alconbury RAF Station , England , where he now serves , as commander of the 10th Tactical Reconnaissance Wing ' s headquarters squadron , a unit of the U. S. Air Forces in Europe. USAFE is America ' s overseas air arm assigned to NATO. Captain Giusti was com- missioned in 1962 through Officer Candidate School and holds the aeronautical rating of senior pilot. High School , he attended Yale University, New Haven , Conn. Navy Petty Officer Third Class ROBERT H. MURRAY , III , son of Mr. and Mrs . Robert H. Murray, Jr. of 316 S. Greene Ave., Lindenhurs t is a member of Helicpoter Anit-Submarine Squadron 15 , homebased at the Naval Air Station , Lakehurst , N.J., and now aboard the helicopter . carrier USS Guam for special operations in the Atlantic. He and the men of his squadron will be carrying out tests to evaluate a new and highly sophisticated con cept in anti- submarine warfare , the Sea Control Ship project , which will eventually be able to cope with hostile submarines over a broad geographical area by using a deadly new ship-aircraft com- bination. AIRMAN ALFRED PIROZZI , son of Mr. and Mrs . R.J. Pirozzi of 1483 Sixth St., West Babylon , has completed his U.S. Air Force basic training at the Air Training Command' s Lackland AFB , Tex. Wilbert is a Mortarman in Company E, 1st Infantry Bat- talion of the Division ' s 7th Cavalry, 3rd Brigade , He entered the Army in January 197 1 and Completed basic training at Ft. Jackson , S. JAHNKE , 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max H. Jahnke, 11 E. Hollywood Ave., Lindenhurst , recentl y completed a 10-week Medical Corpsman course at the U. S. Army Medical Training Center , Ft. Sam Houston , Tex . He learned to perform routine patient care and treatment duties in combat areas , hospital units , dispensaries , clinics and other medical facilities. Kelley of 31 Oakley Place , all of West Islip, has returned to homeport at Norfol k Va., after a 31 , 000-mile five- month voyage in the North Atlantic and Mediterranean aboard the aircraft carrier USS America , which operated as a unit of our Sixth Fleet while deployed. Army Private WAYNE J. DILLWORTH , 25, son of Mr. Joseph W. Dillworth , 511 Tenth St., West Babylon , recently completed a wheeled vehicle Mechanic course at Ft. Dix , N.J. During the eight-week course, he was trained to repair internal combustion engines and wheeled vehicle chassis components. Instruction was given in the fundamentals of electrical and transmission systems. Pvt. Dillworth entered the Army in October 1971. He is a 1964 graduate of John H. Glenn High School . Elwood. AIRMAN ROSEYMARY RISELVATO, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Riselvato , 447 15th St., West Babylon, has completed her U.S. Air Force basic training at the Air Training Command' s Lackland AFB, Tex.
