We would like to send a very special thank you to the Bereavement Team for all the food that was made at Verline & Harlan's so that we could have a family

gathering. It was such a Blessing. We would like to also thank all of the

prayers and support that was poured out during Verline's illness it was truly a gift from our church family.

The Verline Schroeter Family

Twice a month visits in August thru November. Please check out our website at: www.vcamvictoria.org or our Facebook

page for the list of VCAM services

provided and additional VCAM Saturday! dates in the coming months.. Our first month of twice-a-month groceries for our clients has been completed. It has been a very exhausting experience, basically providing food for twice as many families. When you factor in the outside daytime temperatures, it becomes an even more daunt-ing task. But our loyal volunteers have been up to the task & then some. They should be commended & applauded. It is very evident how God works within our ministry. Twice a month groceries means twice the inventory, which means twice the costs. The last two months of the true summer has accounted for the purchase of over 41,000 lbs. of food to feed our brothers & sisters. The cost for food products for those months was over $10,000. Many thanks to the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent for providing VCAM w/ the necessary inventory to stock the majority of food we distribute & most of it at an average of $0.19 – 0.23 cents a pound. Then you consider the generous portion of no-cost (donated) foods that FBGC is also able to offer VCAM, coupled w/ donations from H-E-B & the local community. VCAM genuinely acknowledges all those involved. Let’s get our families thru this pandemic crisis! Interior construction continues at VCAM. We have knocked down some walls & are in the process of shifting logistics in order to create a more conducive environment to cur-rent & future conditions. Our hopes are that we are able to open our doors soon, espe-cially the doors of our Family Closet free clothing store. No donations of clothes are currently being accepted, due to the fact that we have nowhere to put them! Please be patient w/ our progress.

Your support is always valued and very much appreciated…Marc
