- All PE lessons are at Ealing Road at the moment so bring your white trainers. No studs required. Remember, if                                       you come to school - regardless of your health condition - you bring your kit!

- Athletics club after school on Tuesdays. We’ll be looking to take a team to the Brent Athletics competition                                   coming up soon. If you wish to compete, please come along.

- Girls fitness club - Are you interested in doing a bit of exercise in the morning? Learning a bit more about                                         different aspects of fitness? Water for the Win Challenge:

Well done to 8L for having the highest percentage (30%) of reusable water bottles in their class! You’ve won 10 achievement points each.

This week’s sport & health message:

Be disciplined in the small things if you want to be successful with the big things!

Example of small things: attendance, punctuality, manners, home learning, daily class work, chores, training, exercise, eating healthy, drinking water, getting enough sleep, reading, learning

new things!

What’s been going on in sport this week?  Wellbeing week  During the last week of term all PE classes participated in various wellbeing workshops. Students had fun trying new sports                                       and learning about first aid, yoga, mindfulness, team work, and resilience through boxing.

Mixed Doubles Badminton Tournament  On Wednesday 3rd April the Sports Hall was full of enthusiastic badminton teams. Well done to all those who attended.                                       Tremendous effort and skill was shown by all. Special mention to Vivek and Pritvi in Y7 who defeated much older                                       opponents and reaching the semi-finals. Congratulations to the winners: Ethan Dias & Rushi Patel!

Football  Alperton Y11 vs Claremont High  The year 11's played their semi-final of the Brent Schools Cup on Tuesday 2nd April against Claremont High at Vale Farm.

Alperton played excellently throughout the first half and went into the break with a two-goal lead thanks to Hassan. The                                       second half we scored two more goals and Alperton eventually won 4-3.   Netball  Alperton Y7/8 vs Capital City  On Wednesday 3rd April the junior netball team had another game against Capital City School. It took the first third to                                         find our rhythm, but by the second third we were playing with more accuracy and implementing tactics we had worked on                                         that week in training! Unfortunately, in the last third we lost momentum and finished up the game trailing 4-2. The girls                                         have showed great commitment and progress this last term, so we are very proud of them. Player of the day was Rima                                           Bhandari 7V.

Alperton Y9/10 vs Michaela Community School  Also on Wednesday 3rd April the senior netball team played Michaela Community School. There was some good play                                   during the game, especially that it was the team’s first game together. The teams were evenly matched, however after 4                                       quarters ACS came up short 7-4. Despite the loss, it was great to get some proper game experience, particularly on what                                         turned out to be a beautiful and warm afternoon.
