need direction. Sometimes we need just one more piece to put life’s puzzles together.
If you ever need help navigating through the challenges aging brings, and need to find options with making
decisions, Supportive Assistance is available by calling the Senior Enrichment Services of Oberlin. We
have, historically, been a vital source for up-to-date. comprehensive and confidential assistance to sen-
iors. Assistance is available to seniors and their families dealing with a variety of issues: reviewing infor-
mation and filing applications, links to medical insurance information and Medicare and prescription drug
plans, filing HEAP applications, tax aide, finding in-home medical or non-medical care or arranging respite
for caregivers, accessing benefits like Social Security, VA, Safelink, PIPP, Food Stamps (SNAP) for older
and /or disabled individuals, accessing legal assistance or durable medical powers of attorney and living
wills, maintaining independent living through homemaker assistance or home delivered meals, linking
clients to durable medical equipment loans, family caregiver support classes, free lunches, educational
and employment training, health and wellness programs, exercise programs, access to low cost or free
services, volunteer opportunities and community advocacy.

A special Family Caregiver Series of
informative classes will be held at Senior
Enrichment Services of Oberlin for family
and non-professional caregivers on
Wednesdays and Fridays, May 14, 16, 28, and 30, from 1—3 PM.
If you have a loved one whom you are caring for who must leave
the home due to a hospitalization or incapacity, you may have
many questions. Perhaps they are living independently but need
additional help and support to keep them in their home. Perhaps
you, as the caregiver, have lost sight of your own personal and
emotional needs and want to regain balance. Or, perhaps your
family is beginning the important dialogue that will determine
where mom and dad will live in the future. All this and more will
be discussed. A complete Resource Guide is provided to each
attendee. Topics include: Caregiver Stress; Effective Communica-
tions; Financial/Legal Matters in Aging; and Senior Housing
Options & Maintaining Independence.
Reserve your seat today for this supportive and helpful series.
All classes held at 90 E. College Street. Call (440) 775-1504 to
register.
