Parish Giving Tree. Your gifts were distributed to: The adult residents of Mercy Home, the children and teens in
Catholic Charities, The Hispanic Counseling Center, Hour Children, NYU Family Services and families in need in
our parish.

ADVENT RECONCILIATION MONDAY
On Monday, December 17 the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens
will join the Archdiocese of New York in celebrating Advent Reconciliation Monday.
On this special day, all the parishes of our dioceses will offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation from 4 pm to 8 pm, in preparation for
the great Feast of the Lord’s Nativity.

It’s beginning to look A LOT like Christmas!!!
Our Annual Christmas Workshop was held on Sunday, Dec 2nd.
The crowd gets larger each year and everyone in attendance has a wonderful time!
It is great to see all those who have been attending for years and years, and to welcome the many new faces who join the fun and
become part of this great - -almost 50 year-- tradition!!
It’s a day to catch up with friends and get into the Christmas spirit!
With all the Christmas music, and the lights, bows and glitter
from our boutique, you can’t help but feel jolly!!
Some of the beautiful creations can be seen on doors all around the neighborhood.
The Workshop aprons were worn by many - they looked great
and added just the right festive touch!
Once again, a BIG thanks to Margaret Johnston and her committee for planning the day and ensuring that a great time
was had by all!!
If you weren’t able to attend last week, we hope you can join us next year - the more the merrier!!!!

Adult Confirmation - High school and adults of all ages. Classes Wednesdays @ 7:30 pm April 24-June 3 Confirmation on Pentecost , June 9, 2019. Parish Library - Books and videos are available on Christ, Mary, Scripture, prayer and the saints for adults and children. Living the Word - Scripture Study of the Sunday Mass Readings. Come and explore the Bible in the Catholic tradition. Dates will be posted. Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults - Have you ever thought of becoming a Catholic? Are you baptized? Did you receive your First Communion and Confirmation? Classes for those in high school, college and adults of all ages are on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm. All sacraments received at the Easter Vigil.

We encourage all who regularly attend St. Anselm’s to reg-ister by calling the rectory. You must be registered with the envelope system in order to obtain tax statements.
T S Baptism - Celebrated each month on the First Sunday at the
12 Noon Mass and Third Saturday (1pm). Parents are re-quired to attend a pre-baptismal instruction class given each month on the fourth Monday at 7:30pm. Families must regis-ter for Baptism at the rectory. Please call for appointment.
Matrimony Arrangements must be made at least six (6) months in ad-vance so that all details can be taken care of properly. More information is available on-line at www.pre-cana.org.
Reconciliation (Confession) Saturdays: 12noon - 1:00pm
Other times, by appointment only. Please contact Rectory. .
Anointing of the Sick Anointing is encouraged for the sick, elderly and homebound. Arrangements should be made with one of the priests. It is important not to wait for immediate danger of death.
