A GIVING TREE “THANK YOU”
Your thoughtful gifts are in their places
and they will put smiles on bright, grateful faces. Each gift lets a child, teen or adult know
that a St. Anselm Parishioner cares about them so!
Thank you to all our wonderful Parishioners who participated in the 2019 Giving Tree. Your generous gifts will enhance the lives
of children and teens aided by: Catholic Charities, Hispanic Counseling Center, Hour Children, NYU Lutheran Family
Services, St. Anselm Families in Need and the adults living in Mercy Home. We humbly thank you for your generosity and
kindness during this very busy time of year.
We would also like to thank Msgr. Maloney, Msgr. Phillips, Fr. Anthony, & Deacon Tom for their encouragement and
support.
Gratefully, The St. Anselm Elves: Barbara, Bernadette, Bob, Eileen,
Florence, Joe, Linda & Peter

ADVENT TREE 2019 THANK YOU
A heartfelt thanks to all whom participated in the 8th Annual Ad-vent Tree Lighting.
The response was overwhelming and made this year’s event another huge success. The trees surround our beautiful church
and create a festive atmosphere.
The tress will shine throughout the Christmas season honoring family and friends of our wonderful tree donors.
Special thanks to our Advent Tree Lighting Committee:
Phyllis Arlia and Kim Parker whose tireless efforts make this all possible.

Women - Need a Few Days Alone with God?
Why are we so distracted from the important things in life? How can we regain the inner peace we need to carry on as
holy women in our vocation?
Come apart and spend some time in the enclosure of the Sis-ters of the Brooklyn Visitation Monastery and share their daily life of prayer, enriching yourself in the presence of God. The
retreat area can accommodate a maximum of four women for a private retreat of a week, weekend, or day of recollection. See the EWTN interview of Fr. Mitch Pacwa, S.J. and one of our
sisters, “The Purpose of a Retreat with the Visitation Sisters” at http://bit.ly/359HIm9

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Our Mission Statement We, the Body of Christ: St. Anselm Parish in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, rejoice in our parish’s more than 95 years of service to God, our Church, our country, and our community. As Christ is Priest, Prophet, and King, we celebrate the sacramental life of the Church, proclaim the Word of God, and serve the needs of our parishioners and neighbors always with faith, hope, and charity. Walking with Christ, we accept the challenge to call all people to worship, to teach all nations His Truth, and to love one another as He has loved us.
