Systematic Review Training: Short CoursesThe University of Nottingham Centre for Evidence Based Healthcare was established in 2003 as the first European based Centre of the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) - a globally renowned international organisation whose mission is to promote the science and practice of Evidence Based Healthcare.

Our vibrant and growing Centre focuses on evidence synthesis and is made up of experienced health researchers, information scientists and clinical practitioners. We publish several systematic reviews each year, registered through the JBI or Cochrane Collaborations. Our Centre works very closely with clinical partners to ensure that our work addresses important clinical questions and directly informs practice. Centre staff have many years’ experience of providing systematic review training in local, national and international contexts.

Systematic Review Training: Short Courses

Our coursesThe Centre runs systematic review courses of varying length, depending on individual training requirements. Each course is made up of different modules, as follows:

Module Title

Module 1 Introduction to Evidence Based Healthcare and Topic Protocol Development

Module 2 Systematic Review of Evidence Generated by Quantitative Research (meta-analysis)

Module 3 Systematic Review of Evidence Generated through Qualitative Research, Narrative and Text (meta-synthesis)

Our courses attract national and international participants and are delivered by experienced members of the Centre, all of whom are JBI-accredited trainers. Participants receive a certificate of completion from JBI and copies of all resources used during the training.
