The Construction Manager™System Requirements

When planning your computer operation, please account for the needs and requirements of other applications you are using in your company.
Instructions: • If you are implementing a single workstation environment, please review Sections 1, 2, 5, 6, and 7. • If you are implementing a server options environment, please review Sections 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7. • If you are implementing a Client Workstation environment, please review Sections 4, 5, 6, and 7.
Section 1: General Requirements • Intel Pentium® 400 MHz or better with 101 keyboard, mouse, 3.5” 1.44 MB diskette drive, CD ROM, 256 MB
RAM • 4.0 GB Available Hard Disk Space for The Construction Manager™ • Super VGA Video Card (800 x 600 resolution) or better and color monitor. For the best display results, we
recommend that all video displays be set to run at 16-bit (high) or 24/32-bit (true) colors. • Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS - Battery Backup) • High Speed, High Capacity Backup Unit (DVD-R, DLT, DDS, CD-RW or zip drive with backup software) • Internet browser. We recommend the most current release of MS Internet Explorer.
Section 2: Single-User Computer Requirements • Maximum database size is 2 GB • 256 MB RAM • MS Windows 2000® Professional or MS Windows® XP Professional, MS Access® 2000 (with applicable service
packs)
Section 3: Server Options • Option 1: Traditional Network
− MS Windows 2000® Server, Microsoft® Windows® Server 2003 Standard Edition, Microsoft® Windows® Small Business Server 2003, or Novell® NetWare, Version 5.x. or 6.x, MS Access® 2000,
− Maximum database size is 2 GB − 256 MB RAM − Maximum number of recommended concurrent workstation connections is 15.
• Option 2: Peer-to-Peer Network − MS Windows 2000® Professional or MS Windows® XP Professional, MS Access® 2000 installed on one
server or workstation (with applicable service packs) − Maximum database size is 2 GB − 256 MB RAM − 2.0 GB Available Hard Disk Space for The Construction Manager™ database − Maximum number of recommended concurrent workstation connections is 5.

Section 4: Client Workstation (traditional and peer-to-peer) • MS Windows 2000® Professional or MS Windows® XP Professional , MS Access® 2000 installed on one server

Section 6: Other Suggested Software and Computer Hardware • Crystal Reports™ Professional, Version 10 • Microsoft Office® 2000 Professional Edition (which includes Access 2000) • 3Com™ or compatible 28.8 Kbps V.34 modem or better (at least one computer) • Internet Service Provider (ISP) to access the AMSI Web site and Customer Service Center • Adobe Acrobat Reader Verion 7.05 or higher.
