Syria Operation
Dispatch: Food for more than 4 million people dispatched in February and March 2015 – 95 percent of the plan
Hard-to-reach areas: 1.8 million family food rations delivered since UNSCR 2139
Cross-border: Continued scale up of cross-border operations, reaching 580,000 people in March 2015; plans to reach 600,000 people from April onwards

2015 Food Basket Assistance
Despite continued donor generosity, WFP has been forced to reduce the monthly food basket by an average of 21 percent since January 2015
Food basket for May is forecast at 20 percent below planned value

WFP Refugee Operation
• In March, WFP reached 1.8 million people with food assistance (97 percent through vouchers) - 45 percent of all registered refugees
Average of 30 percent reduction in voucher values during the first quarter of 2015

May – July 2015: WFP requires US$ 298 million for the next three months -
US$ 177 million in the Region and US$121 million inside Syria.
May – December 2015: WFP requires US$ 855 million until the end of the year
US$ 437 million in the Region and US$ 418 million inside Syria.
