INTRODUCTION:

The project “Employee Database Management” aims to develop an Android application which

will store the information of the employees working in the organization. It is a powerful solution

to the organizations those who want to shift from the traditional approaches and adapt the

technology to keep the records of the employees. It is easy to administrate and can be used

anywhere and at any time through the mobile devices with Android operating system.

FEASIBILITY STUDY:

The Rapid growth of android applications is creating a great impact on our lives. The aim of the

project “Employee Database Management” is to provide better accessing to the database of the

employees of the organization and also improve the organizational growth of the company. In

this system we are providing dynamic database utility which retrieves data or information from

centralized database. The android application in smart phone contains all information about the

employee

DESCRIPTION:

The main page provides the user with 2 options – to add a new employee or to see the details of

existing employees.

The main page includes 2 options –

(1) Add Employee – When clicked, it opens a new activity where the user can enter the

details of the employee to be added. The various fields of information included are – First

Name, Last Name, Title, Office Phone, Cell Phone, Email and Manager ID. On entering

all the information one may click the ADD button shown on the screen. It will

successfully store the information of the employee in the database.

(2) Employee List. – When clicked, it shows a list of the employees’ name working in the

organization. There is a search box which is useful in accessing a large database. One

may click the name of the employee and it will open a new page displaying the

information of the employee.

IDE - Android Studio

Database - SQLite
