Synopsis 2 nd  Draft Prologue: In the year 2015 a deadly virus is released into the world by an unknown source causing people to mutate into walking corpses that feed on the flesh of surviving humans. Romeo, a 22-year-old survivor, was part of the British army in 2010, here he was taught several key survival techniques and became well equipped for the oncoming storm that was the virus. Juliet, an 18-year-old survivor, didn’t have much in her life before the virus took over. She lived at home with her younger brothers and sisters. However, as soon as the virus attacked her family was one of the first families to be eradicated by the virus. She spent several weeks on here own living off whatever she could find, because after the virus hit many people scavenged whatever resources they could find and headed for the coast. Juliet was attacked by a pack of zombies while she was out on a scavenge hunt during the cold winter month of December. All hope seemed lost as the zombies surrounded her. But from out of the shadows stepped Romeo, who used his military expertise to take down the several zombies that were attacking her with ease. After this the two decided to pair up and stay together until they find a cure or a safe location. Story: Romeo and Juliet are sitting on the side of t he road talking about where they should head to next. Romeo believes there is no sanctuary no matter what direction they go in, but Juliet believes that if the head to the rural areas of London they will be safe. An hour or two passes and Romeo reluctantly agrees with Juliet and they head off to a nearby dirt track. While on the journey Romeo hears a faint growl in the distance he asks Juliet to wait while he checks out the area. He spots a group of dogs that begin to chase the two protagonists. Romeo and Juliet come to a fork in the road where they can either go right, left or straight ahead. Romeo decides to draw their attention away from Juliet and divert into the bushes leaving Juliet alone to escape. Romeo manages to kill all three of the dogs and begins his pursuit for Juliet. Juliet makes her way to a nearby farm where she looks for Romeo but cannot find him so se decides to go off south towards a large forest where the two of them both agreed to meet up a t if anything would ever go wrong. Romeo gets to the same farm Juliet was at but instead of finding Juliet there he finds an unknown beast trapped inside a steel farmhouse after hearing the beast roar Romeo flees the scene. While running, Romeo notices a fresh footprint in the mud. Combined with his expert tracking skills he realizes that the footprint belongs to Juliet and remembers the meeting point at the forest. The two characters both make it to the forest but while there Romeo encounters a Zombie. It stands propped up against a tree waiting for any signs of life. Romeo stands in silence and pulls down his hood. The zombie smells Romeos sent and turns around. It begins to walk towards him and before it reaches Romeo, Romeo pulls out his gun and shoots the zombie point blank in the face. A local infected male staggers through the forest. is no longer worth living if he has to live in a world without Juliet. Romeo pulls

off his Gas mask thus allowing the airborne virus to infect his bloodstream

causing his vision to become slightly blurred and for paranoia to slowly begin to

consume his mind. The infected male notices Romeo and calls out for help. The

infected male runs towards Romeo. Romeo stands up and pulls out his gun. As

Romeo try’s to aim his gun at the infected his vision becomes increasinglyblurred causing it harder to see for Romeo. The infected see’s this as a chance to

attack Romeo and the two scuffles on the ground for a while. Romeo regains his

sight and over powers the dying Infected male. Romeo tells the infected to get on

his knees. Romeo points his gun at the back of t he infected’s head and pulls thetrigger. Juliet appears from behind and grabs Romeos arm. Romeos paranoia

takes over and his vision blurs once again and as he feels the grip on his arm he

spins around and fires his gun into Juliet’s stomach. Juliet staggers into Romeos

arms and dies silently. Romeo lets out a scream before he picks up his gun and

points it at his head.

Epilogue: As Romeo sits on the ground with a dead Juliet lying in his arms with

his gun pointed at his head a small boy is seen being chased by several men in

gasmasks. A distraught Romeo tries to ignore the young boys plead for help but

cannot kill himself due to his gun having run out of bullets. Romeo gently lays

Juliet’s body onto the ground and quickly runs to help the young boy. Romeo

sneaks up on the gasmask wearing assailants and silently takes them out one by

one. Before killing the last enemy Romeo asks why they’re chasing the young boyand the dying gasmask wearing enemy replies “ Because he’s the cure”

The End.
