INTRODUCTION: Synergy Energy Solutions Pvt Ltd was formed in the year 2005 so undertake design detailed engineering installation and project management of Balance of plant for Boilers, Gas Turbine Based Cogen and Combine Cycle plants. Mr Anurag Kalia is a Graduate Engineer from Punjab Engg College Chandigarh having more than 24 years of experience in Sales and application of Capital Equipment. He has in depth knowledge of Gas Turbines, Gas Engines, Boilers and Thermic Fluid heaters. He is responsible for studying the energy requirement of the customer and give most optimum solution. He is credited with conceptualizing many Combined Heat & Power Plants, which have become the Industry benchmark and thereby helping M/s Turbomach SA emerge an industry leader in the gas turbine based CHP segment in India.

Mr Anurag Kalia has also been the Founder and Managing Partner in M/s Steamatic Resources from October 2001 till September 2010. He has been associated with Thermax Ltd as Service, Sales & Project franchisee. He has independently handled large projects which are mentioned in later pages. Ms Geeta Kalia is a Post Graduate and handles the Finances & Commercial matters of the company.

GAS TURBINE: We are authorized associates of M/s Turbomach S.A, Switzerland (A Caterpillar Company) for Sales of Gas Turbine (1 – 15 MW single unit) based cogen plant and combine cycle plants. In a Gas Turbine Based Co Generation plant the exhaust heat from the Turbine can be used for generating Steam through a Heat Recovery Steam generator (HRSG) or it can be used for generating Chilled water through Vapor Absorption Machine (VAM) depending upon what is the requirement of the Industry. The co-generation cycle efficiency in case of Gas Turbines can go as high as 85%.

Some Salient features of Cameron Compressors are :

1. Horizontally split casing : Easy inspection of the internals without disturbing any air and water piping. Requires minimum manpower to carry out this inspection.

2. Bearings are non contact and virtually life-long : The bearings are special on which

Cameron has a design patent. It is a bearing within a bearing. This helps the machine to withstand unbalanced forces if any and also to withstand surge. Only Cameron can carry out a surge test at site before commissioning so as to ensure that the machine is programmed as per actual site conditions.

3. Non Contact Labyrinth seal : The oil seal and the air seal are non contact type and is

also virtually designed for unlimited life. Unlike the carbon seals Cameron compressors do not require any additional air during start-up and operation of the compressor. Further, the seals are also not to be replaced periodically.

4. Water in tube coolers : The intercoolers are water in tube and air in shell type offering

easy maintainability. The coolers can be easily mounted in place and the tube bundle can be easily taken out for cleaning without disturbing any of the air piping. Further the cooler tube bundles are interchangeable.

5. Easy installation : The compressor and motor comes on a complete skid and the installation is simple and takes the least erection time. Requires a very small foundation as compared to other manufacturer.

6. Reliability and efficient : The machines is almost maintenance free. Duplex oil filters

allows changing of the filters on-line. There is no need of oil topping and the machine can run 24x7. Cameron machines are the most energy efficient in this range and part load operation

7. Maestro Panel : The most advanced microprocessor based control panel which has a

big screen for clarity and all features with RS485 port to carry over signals to customers DCS if required.

8. IGV control with auto dual : The most advanced and energy efficient control with inlet guide vane.

9. Oil pressure more than water pressure : In the oil cooler the oil pressure is kept more

than the water pressure as per standard engineering practice which other manufacture finds difficult. Because of this in case there is a tube leakage in the oil cooler then the oil goes into the water and thus it prevents water from going into the bearings and damaging the machine. Others are prone to this kind of failure. As such we need least quantity of oil for lubrication and less quantity of water for cooling. You save on utility consumptions.

10. Actual Vibration Monitoring : Our vibration probes are located just next to the

impellers which gives the actual vibration readings. This is the furthest point of the cantilever. In others they are located near the bearings which is the nodal point of the cantilever and thus does not give the actual vibration.
