SYNDICATED PARALLEL LOANS
Partnership with financial institutions which are not eligible B Loan
participants such as Development Financial Institutions (“DFIs”) or
local commercial banks
To improve cooperation with DFIs, IFC developed a Master
Cooperation Agreement (MCA) that streamlines how IFC works
with DFIs to co-finance projects when IFC is the mandated lead
arranger
IFC has mobilized over US$6 billion from parallel lenders, including
DFIs and local commercial banks for borrowers, globally

MANAGED CO-LENDING PORTFOLIO PROGRAM
New product for passive investors looking to diversify
their portfolios and leverage IFC’s experience &
capabilities in originating & structuring emerging
market senior loans
Similar to an index fund, MCPP creates a loan portfolio
for investors that mimic IFC’s own future portfolio
Investors pledge capital to an IFC Trust Fund (or other
segregated account) which co-invests with IFC in new
loans across pre-agreed regions and sectors
MCPP and IFC senior loan investments are structured
with the same terms and conditions; Project appraisal,
approval, commitment, and supervision are fully
delegated to IFC
No upfront management fee; IFC fees retained on a
success basis from reflows on loans
The first MCPP investor, China’s PBOC, signed in
September 2013 with a pledge of US$3 billion
