Swtor - Trooper Versus Smuggler

Star Wars: the Old Republic (SWTOR) offers gamers with two main alliances which are the

Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic.


The Galactic Republic is protected by the Jedi Order and the Republic's armies.


Interestingly, the smugglers, who are not all that righteous as the Jedi, actually work together

with the Republic's army, the troopers, to protect the people.


Although at first sight, it may seem unlikely that these two classes with very different virtues

could work together, in reality, it is very much the opposite.


Fact is, for long time fans of Star Wars, the alliance between these two classes comes as no surprise given the intricate storyline that brought about the goodwill between them.


As depicted in the big screen movie, Han Solo, a smuggler with his buddy Chewy, quickly builds up a strong relationship with Luke Skywalker

and Princess Leia through a series of gun fights and near impossible escapes.


It is thus without doubt that the smuggler's loyalty lays with the Galactic Republic.


With the main force of the Republic being made up of troopers, the smugglers jump into battle

side-by-side troopers.


Both of these SWTOR classes are most comfortable with the blasters.


The smugglers prefer smaller size blasters and rely on their quick hands to survive gun fights

while the troopers make use of fire power from their over-sized blasters to deal damage.


The SWTOR troopers are dressed in strong armor and helmets designed specifically to

withstand attacks.


Some of the best defense technology were put into the makings of the trooper's armor.


The same goes for the blasters which are developed from advanced weaponry research.


On the other hand, the SWTOR smugglers are dressed in light clothing. This is not because

they cannot afford battle armor.


The class is known to be quick to take advantage when it comes to money matters and is never

without a dime.


The smuggler class simply prefer light clothing for stealth reasons and to be nimble on their

feet.


It's not uncommon for enemies to exchange open fire with troopers and taken down the

next minute by a smuggler from behind.


Both of these classes have ships of their own. The ships are also customized to the needs of

the troopers and smugglers.


The trooper's ship, the BT-7 Thunderclap, is designed for fast deployment to support fast

response during battle.


The smuggler's ship, the XS Freighter, is a fast ship and probably one of the most versatile

starship in the galaxy.


Side-by-side, these two classes are a powerful force of destruction.
