POLARITY LOCKERS
The DIRECTV® (4) polarity SLSP-F SlimLine® dish with SL5 LNB and DTV66E 95º signals are required for distribution to multiple locations in a multiple dwelling or multiple tenant building.
Model 5SATPL powers a DIRECTV® SL5 LNB, polarity locks the four dish outputs and provides 20V to power the 95º LNB on the DTV66E dish.
Line powered amplifiers may also be powered by the power inserter. A total of 2 amps of DC is available from the short circuit protected power transformer.
Use model HRPID1422A when just the SL5 signals are required.

Models SEQ409 & SEQ509 are used to reduce the lower Ka signal levels to obtain the maximum un-distorted output from model LA145a amplifier.
The lower Ka signals originate from the SL5 LNB are 10 dB higher than the Ku signal at 1450 MHz.
Slope compensation in the SEQ409 and LA145a create a positively slope signal for distribution.

DBS Ka/Ku signals need to be amplified to a constant level and extended to multiple distribution locations.
Amplifiers may be coax line powered from either their RF input or RF output connectors.
Amplifiers may be externally powered via their power input connector. Model LAL204a-T, LAL204a-T and LAL205a-T include an external power supply.
Model LAL20a, LAL204a and LAL205a amplifiers have 20 dB automatic gain input windows to provide a clean fixed output. Model HRT116, HRT112, HRT109 and HRT106 directional couplers tap a portion of the signal to feed distribution nodes. The trunk level is indicated on the left and the tap level output is indicated on the right.
Vertical versions of the taps HRvT106, HRvT112, HRvT109 and HRvT106 are also available.

M odel L AL205a i s used to d is t r ibute (5) polarites of DBS signals in high rise distribution systems.
The automatic gain control provides an output level of -20 dBm over an input range of -45 to -25 dBm.
M o d e l SEQ409 s t a r t s th e d is t r i b u t i o n providing frequency pre-emphasis of the signal.
Model 5SATPL polarity locks the SL5 LNB and provides the power for the LAL205a and 95º LNB.
Model HRT116, HRT112, HRT109 and HRT106 directional couplers tap a portion of the signal to feed distribution nodes.
Tap value selection begins with the 16 dB to provide model SWMBOX-64 with a signal between -30 and -45 dBm.
Model SWMBOX-64 is a unity gain hub providing signal to up to (8) SWM8 switches.
Model SWM8 switches have automatic gain making the task of design and installtion simple. Each switch see exactly the output level of the tap.
A second autogain amplifier model LAL205a-T is used on the floor after the 6 dB tap. The automatic gain control provides an output level of -20 dBm 0ver an input range of -45 to -25 dBm.
The tap selection process repeats.

DBS devices require DC voltages on the coax input or output connector and the RF signals must pass through the power inserter.
Sonora power inserters couple regulated DC voltage on coax cables while allowing the DBS signal to pass through the inserter. DC Power originates from switching, short circuit protected transformers.
DBS devices operate at a range of voltages and currents. Power supplies consist of a power transformer and a power inserter. DC can be inserted in one direction (HRFPI) or both directions (HRFPIB) on the coax. To power a AU9S dish use model HRPID1422A.

RELATED CONSIDERATIONS
The LAL20a, LAL204a and LAL205a amplifiers are designed for multiple field powering options.
As line amplifiers they pass voltage and 22 KHz tone from RF out put to RF input and from RF input to RF output. Each polarity is independently powered.
A power supply from 12 to 20 volts DC can be connected to the DC input connector to power all polarities of the amplifier. DC looping ports allow a single high capacity power supply to power multiple amplifiers. Each polarity draws 100 ma.

RELATED CONSIDERATIONS
The output of a Single Wire Multi-switch is split to multiple rooms or apartments and the receiver signal levels are low after 200 feet of RG-6 cable.
Model LA141R boosts basic cable and DBS signal level offsetting the loss of an 8-way splitter while passing data modem and receiver control signals from the receiver to the switch.
This product is a universal coaxial amplifier. The amps works with CATV, DBS, MFH1 & MFH2 stacked DBS, and satellite radio.
Model LA141R-T12 includes model PS12200 power supply when no DC is available from the coax.
Model LA141R-T24 includes model PS242000 power supply to power the SWM8 via SWM1 PWR.

Model LA141R extends SWM drop distances while passing the 2 MHz control signals. The SL5S LNB and LA141R are powered via the PI-28 power inserter.
SL5S switches include automatic gain control for a constant -31 dBm output. The maximum dish to receiver distance for a SL5S and SWS-4 is 200 feet of RG-6 without a LA141R line extender.
With the LA141R in place, room (4) @ 350 feet from the dish has an acceptable signal level of -55 dBm.

A custom home with a guest house requires DIRECTV HD programming without addind a second dish on the guest house.
Model SWM-E4KIT3 includes the SWM-RK4 rack, SWS splitters, SWM power supplies and color coded mini-coax jumper cables.
Two of the three SWM8 switches provide signals for the (12) outlets in the main house.
The third SWM8 switch output is amplif ied by model LA141R-T to a level of -17 dBm to fed the guest house 300 feet of RG-6 from the main house. (Note the LA141R could be powered via one of the PS242000 power supplies included with the Kit. see above right)
The SWM8 output signal is amplified again upon entry to the guest house. The signal level after the SWS-8 spliter is sufficient to travel 200 feet of RG-6 to room 8 of the guest house.
