    UGO RONDINONE: HUMAN NATURE PUBLIC ART INSTALLATION For seven weeks this spring, nine 16-to 20-foot-tall, human-shaped stone figures by Swiss-born, New York-based artist Ugo Rondinone, will transform Rockefeller Center, inhabiting the plaza between 49th and 50th Streets as if transported from another time.     DO IT (OUTSIDE) EXHIBITION In collaboration with Independent Curators International (ICI), Socrates Sculpture Park presents do it (outside), an exhibition conceived of and curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist. In the last 20 years, versions of do it have been presented in over 50 venues worldwide, giving new meaning to the concept of the Exhibition in Progress. Do it (outside) at Socrates Sculpture Park will be the first presentation of the exhibition in New York City and the first to be presented completely outdoors in a public art venue.     JOEL TETTAMANTI EXHIBITION Jol Tettamanti's photographs are a vast archive of the structures, villages and cities that people create and inhabit, and the landforms and climates that shape their culture. Although his photographs are often devoid of people, the focus of his work is the human presence in the landscape and the people who are uplifted and sometimes defeated by the land they inhabit. This contradiction of human frailty and resilience, and the continuities people form with the

    ART & FRIENDS AT DEUTSCHES HAUS EXHIBITION Deutsches Haus at NYU presents works by Swiss artists Arnold Helbling, Katrin Roos und Regula Regg, German artists Deike Benjoya and Silvelin von Scanzoni, and American Artist Mitche Kunzman.     A DIFFERENT KIND OF ORDER ICP TRIENNIAL Every three years, ICP's curators round up some of the most interesting contemporary photography and video works from around the world. The 2013 Triennial, A Different Kind of Order, focuses on artworks created in our current moment of widespread economic, social, and political instability. The exhibition includes 28 international artists who employ photography, film, video, and interactive media. Among the 28 is Swiss artist Thomas Hirschhorn.     THOMAS HIRSCHHORN GRAMSCI MONUMENT Gramsci Monument is the fourth and final work in Thomas Hirschhorns series of monuments dedicated to major writers and thinkers. Gramsci Monument will be located on the grounds of a housing development and take the form of a temporary pavilion with a theater stage, a library of Antonio Gramscis books, a public lounge, an internet corner, a workshop area with carpentry tools, and a food kiosk. Daily and weekly programs will include: lectures by scholars on Antonio Gramsci, poetry readings and workshops, open microphone event, art workshops led by Thomas Hirschhorn, field trips organized by the ambassador, and a play, titled Gramsci Theater.
