Meal Deal News!

Meal Deal has reached crisis stage! We are desperately needing parent helpers on

a Thursday to help with our Meal Deals for our children.

Can you spare 1 Thursday this term to help us out? Many hands make light work!

Our children love our weekly meal deals & it is also an important fundraiser for our

school.

you can help. Alternatively, you can see Mrs Smith or Mrs Friend in the office.

Coastal Ambassadors’ Leadership Program On Wednesday, 6th September our 4 School Leaders (Kai P, Chantelle S, Aiden N and

Caitlin A) ventured to Phillip Island to present a workshop on ‘Reducing Rubbish at Our School’ as part of the Coastal Ambassadors’ Leadership Program.

Our students were the first to present and they did a mighty job. They created an entertaining and informative i-movie that introduced our environmental action plan and

then they led a hands-on session showing their audience how to make a ‘wheelie bin monster’ using a range of recycled materials. The session was really well received by

the audience and set the tone for a fantastic day! I have been so impressed with the way each of our leaders has taken on responsibility

for our environmental action plan from start to finish. They have always been enthusiastic, highly motivated and reliable in generating ideas and following through

with action. They have given up a lot of their own time over terms 1, 2 & 3 to ensure that the project was completed successfully. We have received a lot of positive

comments from staff about how the amount of rubbish in the yard has been significantly reduced, which has been really encouraging. It is now up to everyone at Cardinia Primary School to do their bit and make sure that we bin our rubbish before

going outside, and in so doing, protect the environment of the many creatures that call our school home.

Well done to Kai, Chantelle, Aiden and Caitlin on representing Cardinia Primary School so magnificently, you should be very proud of your efforts!
