SMALLER RATIO CLASSESH40 SMALLER RATIO CLASSES(4 participants: 1 instructor) for those who require a little more attention. Classes available for Swimmer 1-6. All classes 30 minutes in length.

PRIVATE SWIMMING LESSONS(1 participant : 1 instructor) for those who need to focus on completing specific skills in order to progress to the next level. All classes 30 minutes in length.

SEMI-PRIVATE SWIMMING LESSONSTurn a private swim lesson into a semi-private lesson. Register the first child in a private lesson time slot and then visit the WS Leisure Centre to add the second child. Please Note: the 2nd child must be in the same level (or have similar swim ability) to take semi-private lessons.

SPECIALTY PROGRAMSFAMILY SWIM LESSONSIf you have two or more children and would like the convenience of swimming lessons (Preschool A-E, Swimmer 1-6) on the same day, at the same time, you can now register all of your children in the same program. This lesson is a 45-minutes in length and children will be divided into groups based on similar swim ability. Lessons will be taught in a multi-level teaching environment (i.e., the class may have a child in level 3, 4, or 5 all in one class), and class sizes will vary.PLEASE NOTE: You MUST know the Swimmer level your child should be enrolled in before registering. If you are unsure of their level, please contact the WS Leisure Centre at 905-642-PLAY (7529) to find out how you can have your children assessed prior to registering.

STROKES DEVELOPMENTThis program let you improve your techniques and endurance through various drills and practices including interval training, sprints and distance swims. The focus will be on meeting the Front Crawl, Back Crawl and Breast Stroke standards for Swimmer 3-6.

ADAPTED AQUATICSThis unique program is designed to give individuals with special needs a chance to experience the benefits of an aquatic environment. With the assistance of qualified staff and volunteers, participants will work on enhancing their swimming abilities and comfort level in the water. Participants will work on progressions based on their needs and personal goals in a positive and supportive environment, while interacting with peers and having fun! Please note: Because this program is volunteer-based, participants MUST register at least one week prior to the start of the program.

What to expect from lessons Things have changed on process due to COVID restrictions, but the quality and content of classses has not. All aquatic activities are by

registration only. Lessons may have smaller classes and quicker change times after class, but the same qualified instructors are offering the lessons. Regular cleaning and sanitizing is taking place in all areas of the building following all protocols put in place by the Health Dept.

Guardian Assistance

Due to the new restrictions for COVID procedures, instructors must maintain distancing at all times from

participants. Due to this, all children level 3 and under are to be in the water with a guardian to maintain safety.

Classes will be taught similar to parent and tot classes, where the instructor will instruct the guardian on how to

assist the child with learning to swim.
