What We DoWho We Are

OUR HISTORY HUBCAP Wallingford is a hybrid-business incubator providing a unique opportunity for collaboration between schools and businesses to increase college and career readiness while expanding downtown business in Wallingford.

We opened our doors in March of 2013. The idea for the space was the brain child of optimistic adults wanting to revitalize downtown and to offer a cooperative space for learning and growing to both adults and students.

Our Name is a derivative of two main concepts: 1. the “hub of Wallingford” and the State of Connecticut’s educational initiative know as: 2. the “capstone project” - hence HUBCAP!

Board of DirectorsCurrently, there are 11 board members who represent large and small local businesses, the Board of Education, Wallingford Center Inc., Choate Rosemary Hall and the community at large. The work of the board is to articulate purpose and vision to help secure a sustainable future in downtown Wallingford.

CommitteesIn addition, we have 3 active committees comprised of dedicated indivivuals who work closely with the board of directors. Their goal is to strategize, plan and executive tasks designed to promote HUBCAP’s initiatives in the areas of business, education and community.

The Three Committees of HUBCAP Wallingford

Business Our task is to be a conduit between local businesses, start-up companies, students preparing to enter the work force and the greater Wallingford community. We offer long and short term rentals in our fully equipped incubator offices, meeting spaces, and common rooms. We are wifi wired and ready to plug in!

Education An integral spoke to HUBCAP Wallingford is our partnership with the three high schools; Lyman Hall, Mark T. Sheehan and Choate Rosemary Hall. Our space offers a unique educational experience for students that fosters life-long learning while earning additional credits toward their graduation.

CommunityHUBCAP Wallingford is also home to Wallingford Center Inc. (WCI) promoting connectivity among people who live and work in the greater Wallingford area by sponosoring workshops, meetings, exhibitions and other town-wide events.
