New Page Features - Blogs• Now you can create a page that acts like a blog!

Blog entries can be commented on by visitors. • Divide your large pages (that can freeze visitors'

browsers) up to different blog posts and have your visitors go to different pages to view old entries.

• In addition, "power visitors" can subscribe to the RSS feed of your Blog and receive homework assignments as you post them.

• Chris Wheeler Homework Blog• Angela Ramsey – Announcements

Adding an External Menu Link• Menu links actually aren't pages at all. Menu

links allow you to put an external link on your site's menu.

• If you have a site for a club, you could create a Menu Link to the club's state or national level web site.

• Menu links only have three fields: Title, Link URL, and Link Target.

• Examples▫ CPM▫ Pearson▫ Parent PTA CCSS information▫ Refdesk.com

Example – Math - CCSS

Contact Pages

•Uses▫Email contact ▫Assignment submission –goes to Outlook▫Forms that can be emailed to you

•Samples▫Dylan Smith – Project submission▫Laurie Kirkland –

Moving Pages• Your menu can be managed from almost any

screen in SWIFT's site management. • Updating the order of pages is easy -Simply click

and drag the icon next to the page you want to move.

• If you would rather a page not exist in your site's menu, simply move it to the Other Pages section. These pages can be made accessible by adding links in other pages, but they won't show up in your site's menu

• Example – Northwood Volleyball https://teacher.kent.k12.wa.us/manage/page/edit?id=27013

Password Protection

•Password Protection: You can password protect your entire SWIFT site, individual pages, or even some entries on your pages (such as photo albums and files).

• All your passwords are managed from your Password Protected Zones manager.

Other Features• Multiple Users per Site: Collaborate with colleagues on

the same web site. Now department and grade level sites can easily be worked on by multiple individuals. Request to CSC.

• Filterable Tables in Pages: Files, links, quizzes, and discussion threads are displayed in easily sorted and filtered tables.

• Pin to Top: Items that are displayed in a table can be pinned so that they are forced to the top of the list, no matter how the visitor is sorting the content. Now critical items will always be quickly accessible.
