One more year comes to an end and with the help of dedicated and magnificent teachers , staff and dear students it flew away very fast. It
is time we begin with New Session of Class IX to XII. Students are taken on Educational trips. The 7th batch of class-XII was given fare-well
which was wonderfully managed by class-XI. As per CBSE guidelines the ‘Problem Solving Assessment’ test for class – IX & XI was
conducted in the school. It was entirely new experience for students & teachers. Admission tests for coming academic year 2013-14 for
classes-IV to IX & XI were the ongoing feature of these months. It is proud to be the exam centre for National level entrance exam JEE
[Main]-2013 which was conducted on April 07, 2013 where 420 students appeared from our state as well as other states. ‘Hari-Jayanti’
Celebration was at the top of all Hostel activities.
The year finally accomplished with meaningful workshops which were organized for class-IV to VII. It was in total very dynamic & fruitful as
young girls learned the essential Life-Skills through diverse visits to ‘Old Age Home’, ‘Nursery’, ‘Chocolate plant’ & ‘D-Mart’. The in-house
workshops were also planned for them like wafer making, glass painting, coasters making, tree plantation and embroidery etc. In fact we
take this opportunity to be grateful to the parents of these students for their cooperation for allowing them to stay back after their annual
exam as this is the only time we get with our young girls for molding them with essential skills. The planning of workshop was in progress
from one month and In charge of each activity had planned the activity in a unique way and the outcome was this four days workshop
where students enjoyed , learned and associate their feelings with each activity. And finally they took away the product like their paintings,
coasters, pieces of embroidery work etc with them and departed with their parents on 27th April 2013 on the Day out.
Educational Trip is an integral part of school curriculum to get a firsthand knowledge. This year, the girls of class IV to VII went to Mysore &
Bangalore. The ancient monuments carry with them the legacy of History. The girls observed these monuments with awe and took a vow to
preserve the Heritage of India. They visited Mysore Palace, Tipu Sultan’s Palace, Bio- Technological Museum, Railway Museum,
Innovative Film City, Vrindavan Gardens, Lal Bagh Garden, Chamunda Hills, Iskon Temple, Zoo Garden and BAPS Swaminarayan
Temple. It was an enriching experience for them. They traveled by air- conditioned bus, stayed at four-star hotels, and provided with
delicious, pure and hygienic food. They shared their experiences through Projects, charts and public speaking.
The girls of SV celebrated the festival of ‘Vasant Panchami’ marked as the arrival of spring season and the birthday of the Founder
of the ‘BAPS’; PP Shri. Shastriji Maharaj. The girls paid tribute to Him in the sabha conducted on the theme ‘He lived for us.’ Shastrji
Maharaj was the third spiritual successor of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and formalized the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. He was known
from a young age for his strong conviction in Bhagwan Swaminarayan, His philosophy, and His spiritual successors.
The observing of ‘Vasant Panchami’ was followed by the festival of colours ‘Holi’. The girls celebrated it with great fervor. A huge bonfire
was made and all worshipped it and went around the fire. They offered green barley to the fire. On the next day of Holi, girls smear gulal on
each other ,sang and danced to the beat of dholes and enjoyed a variety of sweets and other delicious food in lunch and dinner. They
celebrated the whole event in a different manner and enjoyed the last moment of the day.
With a sense of pride and a tinge of sadness, the girls of eleventh standard arranged the farewell function to bid farewell to their seniors. A
wonderful musical evening was organized. The chief guests of the day were the Principal of Swaminarayan School Neasden, London &
SMC member.Shri K C Patel. The anchors, Akshita and Riddhi, wonderfully coordinated the programme and captured the heart of
audience. Parents, teachers, delegates, dignitaries, didis & students were integral part of the function. The Principal’s heartening words
were a guiding force for both parents and students. A host of memories raced through the speech of Gruh Mata. They completed their
emotional account with a wistful longing to relive those glorious moments. There were blessings and guidance for their future venture in the
speech.
Girls are educated here for leadership and groomed to be the proud future citizens of India. After delicious satisfying dinner, they were
formally sent off with mementoes and token of gifts from Swaminarayan Vidyapith.

Keeping this in mind throughout the year the teachers of Life-Skill team conducted different activities like cooking, stitching, self-

the workshop after annual exam. Here the girls are galvanized to get exposure to the outer world to acquire important Life Skills.
The objective of conducting this workshop is to provide opportunities for the growth of an individual in different directions.
The whole workshop was planned under the able guidance of Director Shri. Sandip Rao and was managed by Life-Skill team with a
very proficient approach. Each hour was planned in such a way that students learn with fun & frolics. The planning of workshop was
in progress from one month and each member of LS team was actively involved for coordination of each activity and had planned
the activity in a unique way ,where students enjoyed , learned and associate their feelings with each activity. At the time of making

FAREWELL
Farewell! Farewell!
A day of joy and sorrow
A day when we leave our school club,
And enter a social hub
Farewell! Farewell!
A day when we have to fly,
And tell our childhood bye.
Farewell! Farewell!
The day when we have to get apart
From our DEARST.
The day when eyes are full of tears which
are rolling on the chubby cheek,
The day when we have to decide
on which mountain peak we have to reach.
Farewell! Farewell!
The most important day in each one’s LIFE.

Unnati Keharia.
