Job Position: Web Developer/DesignerLocation: Barrie, Ontario Reports to: IT Manager Industry: Recreational Vehicles Start Date: Immediately
Overview: The purpose of this position is for the associate to create new web applications, maintain current applications (desktop and web) and migrate legacy applications to newer platforms. This will ensure that we eliminate all redundancies with our current systems and processes. It will also ensure that we are ready to face new challenges while giving us the opportunity to innovate and implement more efficient solutions.
Reporting Structure This position currently reports to the Manager, IT. There are no direct reports. This role will interact with all levels in the organization.
Specific Accountabilities
Software development to support head office initiatives.o Create and maintain divisional sales web applicationso Maintain specifications and user documentationo Develop and maintain intranet and various web appso Work with IT Manager and VP to design and develop internal and external web pages
Provide support and troubleshooting for Various Web Apps and Siteso Assist users with issues relating to software and websites
o Microsoft Office support and troubleshooting
Experience, Competencies and Skills
College or University degree in Information Technology
3-5 years of related work experience
Required skillseto Microsoft .NET/ASP.NET programming for web developmento IIS and Apache (Nginx, Tomcat, XAMPP an asset)o Web design - CSS, HTML (HTML5 an asset), Graphics designo Experience in C#, PHP, Bootstrap, Ajax, AngularJS, JavaScript, Jquery, MVCo MSSQL & MySQL Server database and query languageso SQL Server Integration Services and Report Services (SSIS & DTS)o Database management concept and design
Must have experience relating to:
o Object oriented programming conceptso Web application development best practiceso Graphics design applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator etc. o Front end UI and UX designo Cross browser development
Optional skill set:o MS Access database development and VBA programmingo MS office integration and supporto NodeJS, ReactJS or other mobile app development librarieso Experience with revision control (GIT)o Windows Server environmento Linuxo Adobe suite of applications
