Folklore in Suwalki

Suwalki folklore is still alive.There are many folklore ensembles that their singing,

dancing, teach us our history and show the lives of our ancestors

and their everyday life, how ever dressed.

Folklore Ensemble „ Suwalszczyzna”

Song and Dance Ensemble „Suwalszczyzna” it is one of the oldest folklore ensembles in

Poland; for already fifty years it's members have been representing Polish culture in many countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Georgia,

Turkey, Lithuania, Russia, Estonia, BelarusThe band consist of mainly young people,

youth.„Suwalszczyzna” is a showcase of our city

Song and Dance Ensemble „Pogranicze”

Folklore ensemble from Szypliszki. It's members participate in various festivals in

Polandand abroad as well. Arranges his repertoire, taking into account the traditions

of his region.The folklore ensemble has won many awards,

medals.Recently celebrated 25 years of existence

Folklore ensemeble „Młode Jezioranki” from Wiżajny

The group was formed in 1991. The group consists of young girls. It's repertiore includes

local songs and custom spectaclesThe group was awarded in local festivals and

in national festivals

The Regional Centre of Culture and the Arts you can admire an exhibition of works in
