The SUV EXTREME is organized by Terra Tigers, India’s oldest and most widely recognized recreational off-road group. Started by a group of off-road enthusiasts a decade back, today it has grown exponentially with national presence to be the benchmark for off road motor-sports in the country. Terra Tigers have been organizing THE PALAR CHALLENGE for 7 years , and now the expertise is being carried over to SUVs. With competition experience across international events like RFC (Malaysia), Taprobana Challenge (Sri Lanka) amongst others.

SUV Extreme will be an bi-annual team based off-road competition for vehicles with 100 inch wheelbase and 4x4 with Lo-Range; held around the First Weekend of March (28th Feb-2nd March 2014) and the Second weekend of September(11th-13th September 2014). Each team consists of 3 vehicles and 6 competitors. .

The event tests teams for their proficiency in: • Team work and Endurance

• Off-road and cross country driving skills • Navigational abilities • Vehicle Recovery Techniques • Vehicle preparation

All competing vehicles will be subjected to strict scrutiny to ensure that they adhere to the safety requirements prescribed in the competition handbook. Safety is of utmost importance and no compromise is made in this regard. All organizers undergo a focused training schedule lasting over 6 months to ensure that every marshal is on top of his game at any point of time. The benchmark is pretty high with respect to the composition of the “O” team.

SUV EXTREME September 2014 The event is spread across 3 days on a mix of rocks, bounders, sand and

gravel from carefully planned obstacles. This is to ensure that the level of

competition is very high and for competitors to ensure that they change

their driving pattern based on sudden changes in terrain. It is a true test of

competitors’ understanding of his vehicle and the terrain.

Teams will be scored on the following 1) Time taken to drive from one SS to another over broken

ground with marked OUT OF BOUNDS AREAS(minus the penalties)

2) Points scored at each SS a) 10 Points of each climb completed (Marked By Flags) b) 3 Points for each attempt c) 1 Point for each Bypass (2 Bypasses per SS) 3) Maximum Time per SS is 15 minutes for 3 Vehicles 4) Each vehicle will be provided with a Detailed Competition

Handbook with Score Cards, signed by SS Marshals and Competitors at each SS.

Rs 5000 per head (for rooms on a Triple Sharing basis including Dinner & Breakfast) can be paid directly to Golden Bay Resorts.

Competitors can make their own arrangements for stay and food, but will strictly adhere to the event timings Registration Fee for SUV EXTREME Rs1500 per Head to be paid before 15th February 2014
