ApproachPlanning an ICZM program through:1. Monitoring by remote sensing and ground based techniques

and identifying hot pollution spots.2. Identifying and assessing changes in the area by high

resolution imageries3. Building and analysis of a GIS for the region (topography,

layers of vegetation and types, wetland, aquaculture, archeology, residential, industrial installations, land based pollution sources…)

4. Putting forward an integrated coastal zone management plan for development and identifying suitable areas for tourism projects.

5. Carrying out a strategic environmental assessment of the plan.6. Promoting and communicating the study as a pilot study that

can be replicated at other similar areas along the coast.
