1928Expansion of the range to include washing powder for washing textiles. The powder is produced using the crystal-lisation method – the manu-facturing process that became the norm in the 1930s.

1966With Enzyalon, hollu develops one of the � rst enzymatic detergents for commercial use in Austria.

1989hollu launches electronic dosing technology for dishwashing and textile laundering.

2003With the holludrive (tableware) and hollu-quid (laundry) dosing systems, hollu is now one of the market leaders. The hollutech dosing system is continuously upgraded and further developed, and demonstrates hollu’s technological leadership.

1952The expansion of business activity to include large commercial customers brings a signi� cant change of direction.

1984As the developer of one of the � rst phosphate-free detergents for commercial use, hollu takes its environmental responsibility seriously.

1995With its sights set on innovative and technologicalleadership, hollu developsspecial cleaning products for the food and beverage industry.

1905In Innsbruck, Julius Holluschekstarts manufacturing cold-stirred soaps – laying the foundation for a success story spanning more than 100 years.

As Austria’s leading hygiene specialist, we develop integrated hygiene systems that make our customers’ everyday cleaning tasks much easier. We have always followed the principle of designing feel-good hygiene. Since its founding in 1905, hollu has been owned by the Holluschek family. With our own research and development operations, as well as regional production at our head office in Zirl, we ensure continuous innovation and first-class quality made in Austria. A total of 391 employees at 8 sites in Austria and South Tyrol help make the hollu brand a success.

2007Modernisation of the clea-ning plant for used bulk con-tainers – empty containers have been collected from the customer free of charge, processed and fed back into production since the 1990s.

2012hollu launches the hollueco eco-friendly product line.

2016EMAS – EU seal of approval for sustainable environmen-tal management. Formally presented by Federal Minister Andrä Rupprechter.

2005100 years of hollu. Major investment in the Zirl site, in the areas of logistics and R&D.

2009hollu develops a complex pH value bu� er systemfor alkaline cleaning products, which bene� ts user safety. Federal Minister DI Nikolaus Berlakovich presents the Austrian Ecolabel for hollu’s NATIV product line.

2014A new dimension in textile hygiene: the holluQUID fully automatic liquid washing system, awarded the Austrian Ecolabel and the EU Ecolabel.
