Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

Become a nice transition zone between the freeway (automobile) and historic district (walkable). Slow down the cars, draw in the building envelope towards the road. provide more pedestrian walkability, a better streetscape treatment.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Safety, slowing down the traffic. Streetscape design, more large shade trees.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

The streetscape. It's boring and there is to much pavement. Needs a road diet, add bike paths, plantings, bring buildings toward the road right of way.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

Live in Dublin, shop and drive through the cooridor regularly.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

I see it as a modern Dublin with old school charm

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

The school used to belong there in the early days and now it has less of a reason to be there.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Move Indian Run School to the huge field north of Rings Road and east of Frantz where it makes sense and before it goes swallowed up for something else.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I have owned a businesses on High Street for 10 years and have lived just south of Old Dublin on Dublin Road for over 20 years

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

I think the City is generally headed in the right direction. My hope is for there to be affordable housing in the area. For this to area to attract and keep people in the area young professionals and older people on limited income need to be able to afford to live in the area. And I just don't see that right now and I don't see any plans going in that direction.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

I am concerned about traffic congestion in an area where traffic congestion is already a problem.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Making more affordable housing available. Right now you have to be wealthy to even consider living the area.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

My family doesn't shop in old Dublin very often because parking is a problem. I do think that while very small in area the downtown area is charming.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

Better balance of retail, office and a new dimension of residential would make for a higher quality of life in this area, one that pushes beyond the rush hour mindset of getting to the office or home for many now.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Physical characteristics -- most driven by the roadways and high-volume traffic.

High levels of rush hour traffic.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

I would like to see the quaint historic nature of it maintained. It is what makes it and Dublin so special and memorable and unlike every other strip mall community around. We need to minimize additional traffic in that area since there is no where for 161 to be expanded. I would encourage you NOT to add additional businesses and attractions to it as it will make driving there much like Worthington's historic district which is PAINFUL. We didn't even look to buy a home in Worthington because the traffic is so awful in the historic area. I don't want to see that happen to the historic area of Dublin, too.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Traffic volume is too high for the historic area and even the roundabout (which is way too small). I would like to see the area by Kroger polished up a bit as it is looking dated and unattractive.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Traffic. I hate trying to navigate to Kroger or downtown historic Dublin because the traffic stinks. I avoid it.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I travel through it daily for business purposes and to conduct my daily living.

Concerned about more housing development. With current housing, west bridge street and historic Dublin are going to be under tremendous traffic and stress.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

A tree lined "transitional" area as a gateway to the existing old downtown. Minimal developmental expenditure.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

The most "developable" parcel is the school property. The cemetery, shopping center and existing hotels on the south side of Bridge Street make that area less than friendly to foot traffic. OCLC and I-270 also limit extensive development to the north. Unless a way to divert US 33 and Ohio 161 traffic from the area, traffic calming and restrictive lane structure will present a significant challenge. My vision would focus resources elsewhere.

My major concern is the the City of Dublin will find another way to put over 22 Million Dollars into some "Iconic" feature such as a pedestrian bridge with limited usefulness and access while serious issues go unaddressed.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Better continuity of building and blending of features that cannot be altered such as the cemetery.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

Travel through frequently going to the post office, library, grocery story and freeway access. No current problems beyond traffic.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

Create an attractive entrance to downtown Dublin as folks come off 270. A nice sign and plantings at frantz intersection. Especially in place of bank building and sign.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

1. Most important: Efficient thoroughfare for traffic2. Better signage and traffic flow for Sells and Indian Run, preferably with alternate exit out back to N. High. UpdatedKroger strip mall. Updated gas stations with back exits to Corbin Mill and its stoplight.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Reestablish right turn lane from 161 west to Post Rd north. If I can have 2, get rid of the ugly bank at 161/frantic SE corner, with its terrible sign.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Traffic is major in Dublin and especially bad on Bridge and High

Traffic and Bridge High being so narrow.

Restaurants, grocery, shops, schools, library

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

The new development on the east side of the river is way too urban in style. I hope the west side has a quaint, Irish, "old" feeling. Grateful for amenities Dublin provides being such a large suburb, but we don't want to feel like we live in a city!

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

updated style (but not urban!!)

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

My kids go to school on in this corridor, can be congested but manageable. Nice to have grocery, pharmacy, restaurants, and medical offices so handy. Overall aesthetic looks outdated in Kroger area.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

I'd like to see traffic diverted into the new road thru the OCLC property. Ideally I'd put in empty nester patio homes and higher end condos, like those near Oscar's, behind and/or above neighborhood friendly businesses, and incorporating the post office, vet and tire store as first floor occupants.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

I see it as perhaps too costly to achieve the ideal -- buying out the schools, for example.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Bring the "look" of historic Dublin up both sides of the road.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

It appears that Dublin is working to become the next German Village, a destination with living options and entertainment. That is not a bad thing, but there are challenges in trying to grow two distinct areas (east and west sides of the river) and then "drive" people between the two area on Bridge Street.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

I see bottlenecks in the future in trying to connect the two sides of the river. Parking may continue to be a huge issue, even with the proposed parking garages. I don't see the school/administrative buildings on Bridge Street being an asset in the future.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Move the school/administrative buildings on Bridge Street. This is not the "highest and best" use of this property. Commercial and adjacent parking would be better, or to widen Bridge Street.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I travel through this area frequently. I would give the new roundabout a weak "OK". It sorta works now, but I fear that it will be grossly inadequate with much growth. Bring in a few more visitors to the area that are not familiar with roundabouts, especially this one, and you have many accidents.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

Too much traffic, congested streets, inability to really move around freely. Higher taxes to support it all. Too many people, too little infrastructure. Small town feel gone. We are already looking to move before taxes increase.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

That there just isn't enough room to create an easy traffic flow into the future. More development brings more homes and congestion

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

More open space.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

some residents, businesses/restaurants/retails are good - but less 70's looking; more classical / old Dublin look and feel. Keep lots of greenery, make sure there are bike/walking paths. Install a large, key public art work that will become a signature of Dublin like the cornfields. Make it more artistic / like a Coventry (Cleveland) vibe - local coffee houses, a book store, art film theater, bars that offer games or bars with live music.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

get rid of the large surface lots close to the street and large signage (e.g. the temperature lights).

Update the Kroger plaza area - why is getting in/out of that parking lot always so difficult?

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

Quaint small shops along the street and no huge apartment complexes. Extend the cemetery west to Monterey Dr. This is the last chance that Dublin will have to expand the cemetery.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

The buildings east of the river as well as those at Bridge and Hight streets were allowed to be WAY oversized compared to the original lip service given us about "preserving the old character of Dublin". How about actually listening to the residents this time! We don't want monster buildings along the remaining Bridge Street Corridor.

I liked it when the farmers marlet was in this side of the river. Still need more businesses. Foot traffic has increase but needs more attractions.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

We have been here since 1980s and have been thru all the improvements. Have liked everything done so far. Traffic coming north on Dublin Rd. Gets backed up too far durin rush hour.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

More developments targeting a home price in the $200 to 300 K rather than the current new condo development with prices at $500 K and up in the town center area. Some retirees are choosing not to stay in Dublin once they retire due to the high property taxes Lowering their home value is the only way to stay in Dublin. Some other states have no property taxes so it is hard to compete and keep the retirees.

Mixed use, including residential, retail, restaurants and businesses to tie it in to the the overall Bridge Park development and historic Dublin.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

Need to add express lanes to get from the freeway down to the new circle area and associated business, currently with traffic it can take 20min to go a mile.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Traffic and parking are cumbersome, the character of the area north of Dublin community church (Kroger strip mall, gas stations, McDonalds) area needs updated or enhanced. Looking dated.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Parking between j lues and the library are currently major issues in the area restricting business. That lot could use a parking garage of its own.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I go to the restaurants (mezzo, brazenhead, oscars, tucci's, harvest) and parking is frequently an issue. Making a left from the library area onto 745 is tricky given the traffic

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

This is too broad of a question for me as I do not plan to live here in 20 years. I would also appreciate some more direction in terms of "vision"

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

The area is difficult to move through and has traffic issues due to having two schools in this area. I love the kids on the sidewalks, but buses and parent pick ups make it difficult

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Move the schools! Except the 1919 building, the schools are an eyesore, create traffic chaos. There appears to be nearby areas to build newer and more modern schools. The current schools could be re-purposed with new development along the street

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I avoid travel through there due to traffic. It is a 15 minute delay vs. Emerald Pkwy over the river. I would visit the stores and other businesses more often if there was better parking and more store frontages

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Its a traffic choke point but an important roadway to Sawmill

Better traffic flow

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

Keep businesses that have anchored this corridor for 30+ years a part of the process

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

The random light in front of Sells is a carbon footprint nightmare. Stopping traffic for no reason, when a 25mph speed limit is in force, is beyond non-sensical. Only central planners who never travel that way would impose such a penalty.. Could be called the "Dublin Bridge-gate"

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

1 Get rid of the pseudo-crosswalk in front of Starbucks --it's adjacent to a legitimate (i.e. safe) crosswalk at N High. A lawsuit ready to happen, for any handicapped individual attempting to cross there. I've personally witnessed two close calls there this past 6 months. The whole duel alleyways there also need re-thinking, representing supreme chammenges to the uninitiated during rush hours. Drive it every day the past 30 years like I have, you may get a clue.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I've travelled the corridor daily since 1984. Any city planners match that? I thought so.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

With the "election" of Donald Trump, I have no positive vision of Dublin or anywhere else. I hope I'm wrong, but at 84 I've seem it all.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

I am concerned that the City and its developers have a "build it and they will come" mind set about the future of Dublin. Dangerously naive.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

I am afraid it's too late to change anything. The project is based on unrealistic expectations for the future of Dublin, especially in the Trump era.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I was the CEO of a major advertising agency with headquarters in the Metro Center. I'm retired now and the company moved to Easton.

My concern is that you are going to destroy this area just like you're allowing Old Dublin and east of the river to be ruined.

The senseless allowing of over development by greedy city administrators as they succumb to the pressures, threats, and payoffs from filthy developers.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

A mixed-use area of commercial, residential, and community-service facilities, along a corridor that effectively balances through traffic, local traffic, and overall traffic volume; provides safe and pleasant bike- and walkways, as well as other transportation options not currently envisioned, and adequate parking, bike racks, etc. The area functions well as the site of daily work and life activities as well as a destination for those who live elsewhere.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

At times there's too much traffic too close to the sidewalk, the lot sizes are too big for the existing buildings, there's no coherent design standard (but I also don't want everything to look alike, especially if it's yet another version of 1930s-style brick architecture, as in the Arena District). Having said that, traffic has increased dramatically in recent years, current development will only make this worse, local residents need the grocery, gas stations, & other services currently available (and not more premium versions such as Whole Foods instead of Kroger), but development economics often push for even higher densities and luxury services, which enhance the area as a "destination," but make it harder to use & less pleasant to live in on a daily basis.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Reduce the amount of rush-hour traffic along Bridge St.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I've lived in Erlington Village for 15 years, & travel through the corridor daily to get to work, the freeway, the grocery & other businesses, to other parts of town, & in the recent past, to my kids' school-related events.

I will have moved due to over urbanism in our lovely suburb.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Buildings too close to traffic, granite curbs harm to tires, parallel street parking in close proximity to heavy traffic, flats which resemble public housing "projects", small amount of actual park green space, and last but not least, the way the project went around normal long standing committee processes.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

The roundabout is very close to potential pedestrians on the Northeast side. I am concerned that a potential accident could occur harming pedestrians. In addition, this unfortunate event would place our city at risk of potential law suits from victims who might view us as a municipality with deep pockets. The prior knowledge that the roundabout was unsafe because of the consecutive days of accidents there would be damaging evidence for the plaintiffs.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

Travel through it daily but actually I have avoided it for years which is probably not the goal of our city

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

This will become a very urban area with considerable office, retail and housing filling up much of the redevelopment opportunities as well as some greenfield development at OCLC, the sports facilities at the Dublin school property, Wenday's parking lots and green space, etc.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

A two major roads -- 33 and 270 put massive numbers of cars and trucks on and off the roads right in the middle of this urban zone. The area is already very congested -- especially 161 and Franz Road. I worry how all this will work. It can be a gigantic mess in the making that people will want to avoid if at all possible. Old Dublin is very cute, but it has been congested and the volume of traffic makes it unpleasant to walk along 161. It's loud and noisy with car fumes, etc. 161 is a major highway.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Is there a way to create some kind of bypass of the historic core for people who just want to get from Sawmill to 270? That's the only way that area is going to be truly walkable.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I go there often to walk around, visit library, visit stores, etc. I live a couple of miles north of that area. Often travel through the area on the way to somewhere else.

Upscale, walkable, bikeable community with a compelling, diverse small business mosaic.

There are no small businesses that encourage pedestrian traffic (walking)- connecting Old Dublin (West of Le Chatelaine) to the Kroger strip mall. The needs to be redeveloped (similar to Short North)

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

It has been nice watching all of this come together. Dublin is doing a beautiful job with setting up the corridor. I would like to see shuttles for people who do not prefer to walk distances (I'm not sure if that is in the plan). I would also like to see condos that are in the $250K range for empty nesters on a budget. That is a market that is untouched, but has huge potential. They would be 1200-1500 sq. ft., with nicer finishes, but small to keep costs down.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

I have no issues or concerns as of now. I think it's being well laid out and looks beautiful.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

I wouldn't really change anything, but my preference (again I don't know if this is in the plans) I would keep the center of downtown Dublin exactly as it is. It has that inviting home town feel without feel stuffy.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I travel through the corridor every day. I love it! I love the roundabouts (when everyone takes the moment to use them correctly :) ). When all the construction is done, it will be wonderful.

Improved walkways, safety, landscaping, architecture and signage, and friendliness of the area.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Crosswalk by Starbucks! Safety for the school children with increased traffic and school zone monitoring. Landscaping would be nice!

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

The big parking lot at Kroger Plaza is the first noticeable attraction when driving through. Signage could be improved. When walking through the sidewalk in front of the stores - it's hard to know which stores are which. AT Chocolates is easy to miss, for example. I love the local businesses in DT Dublin! The quaintness of the businesses is nice! Makes the area unique for us!

A mass transit system that will move people in, out, and around Dublin. Good for the environment and ease traffic.

I don't think Riverside Dr. south was ever intended to move this many cars in and out of Dublin.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

It would be great to see this corridor would match the aesthetic character of Historic Dublin with a mixture of low-rise chain and boutique stores. Amenities and attractions that would be iconic, for example a unique outdoor greenspace with an ice skating rink or outdoor stage, that would make this area more of a destination. Ideally it would be nice to get off the highway, park and have a safe walking path through the entire corridor, from West Bridge Street, through Historic Dublin and into the East Bridge Street Corridor development.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

I think circulation is a major issue. It's really hard to even see what stores are in the strip mall through the massive parking lot and lack of signage. There are little pockets of different uses that are disconnected. It is frustrating at times to navigate by car, let alone walk or bike since there are no linking sidewalks, crosswalks are often blocked with traffic, and drivers are often searching for hidden signs and entrances. This corridor is the first thing I experience when I come to Dublin, so creating a gateway that fits the scale and extends the charm of Historic Dublin, without creating a bottleneck, will be a key issue.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Improve circulation.

An appealing gateway into the City of Dublin and its major destination product of Downtown Dublin (Historic Dublin and Bridge Park). Build upon the urban and walkable environment that is being created in Downtown Dublin.

Way too much traffic. This is the worse roundabout in the state. It is very confusing. I avoid this area as much a possible. I can't image what it will be like once all the hotels and condos are finished.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Accident waiting to happen

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Redo the roundabout - way to many lanes and people are confused. I have driven on it about 5 times and out of those 5 times there has been a wreck there

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I do not like and will not be frequenting the businesses located there because of it.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

Keep it Simple and Green. We moved here 11 years ago for the "small town" community atmosphere with access to Big City amenities. We are rapidly losing that through rampant construction. In this time our taxes have also just about doubled in the same home. Dublin is loosing its appeal. All my friends are 20+ year residents who don't like what they see either.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Way TOO much money being spent on areas that are NOT important to the community. The developers and Board or who ever makes these pie in the sky ideas are aiming much higher than the desires of the community as a whole. As lovely at the pedestrian bridge will be, I believe this money would be better spent in our schools on academics and special need students, other community services for the elderly rather than a monument for the cost.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

33/161 round about has already had a bad start. It will only get worse as those businesses and new residents move in.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

Live nearby and travel through it several days of the week. Do love to spend time in historic Dublin.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

Future businesses, restaurants with outdoor dining space, residential areas, green space (parks, walking paths, etc.).

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Traffic! The roundabout shouldn't be so hard to navigate, but cars coming from the north or south are approaching it at a higher rate of speed and it seems to be problematic for many. Perhaps relocating the traffic light at River Ridge would help (move it down to Tommy's/Oakland).

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Just get it finished. We're all tired of the construction.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

Downtown Dublin does not need a significant amount of added growth. Expanding it extensively, while certainly the objective of developers, has the potential to ruin some of the downtown charm, which the city is known for. My vision would look for sensible growth that's aimed at maintaining the quaintness we currently enjoy. Integrated parks, tied into the park systems along the river, with sensible business growth is key. Adding too many businesses or condos will further stress the existing infrastructure.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

We do not want changes to the district to draw an excessive increase in the amount of new traffic through the residential streets (Franklin st., Monterrey, etc.). Speed limiters and speed bumps are needed. Children are all over those streets.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

The number of hotels being added in the 270 interchange. If they have to be added, have strict architectural requirements that dictate uniformity and a high-class look. The "gateway to Dublin" looks a bit like a typical highway off ramp. - And one more thing... there should be an entrance into the Kroger shopping center off of bridge street (heading east),immediately after the McDonalds.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I live in the area.

I would like it to remain small and quaint with some green space. Maybe update the facades of some places to make it uniform and nicer looking.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Increased eastbound traffic once the all the new stuff by the river opens and only having 2 lanes of travel. Parking become difficult and/or pricey so nearby residents can't easily visits or local favorites.

better parking options (still free though)

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

impersonal, congested, area to avoid. I worry that the illusion of increasing value of the area will be quickly destroyed by the impression that it is a congested area that's undesirable. (ie. Easton, Polaris, etc.) Housing around those areas used to be nice -- now it's too difficult to get there so I would no long consider it a desirable area for living, regardless of the amenities around the area.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

it will become a 6-lane strip mall in order to accommodate the incoming traffic

wouldn't have built the gigantic structures in old dublin and maintained some of the character while supporting reasonable development.

More walkable and bikable. It feels like a highway corridor right now.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Frantz Road intersection. It's daunting if you are trying to walk/ride a bike through there, but I understand you also have to move traffic efficiently too. I would like to see you accommodate both instead of focusing on cars only.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

Would like to see a more urban appearance (less parking lots fronting streets, more focus on sidewalks/crosswalks, etc.) but in a small-town appearance (smaller scale fronting, more buildings like on the southwest corner of bridge and high, no monolithic structures like the ones going up on the east side of the river).

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Dated suburban strip malls, gas stations, tire shops, etc don't help; speed and volume of traffic on Bridge Street too high to be a comfortable walking area (need reduced speed limits from Frantz all the way through to Dale Drive, parking on sides to provide more of a pedestrian barrier, etc.) Also too many of the properties have large lawns, parking areas, etc fronting Bridge Street, would like to see development moved up towards the street going forward. Don't allow variances like the Wendy's on the east side- just another parking lot fronted space; that never should have been permitted.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Speed of the traffic. We live on Franklin, and it's astounding how fast traffic moves through the 25 mph zone, especially during lighter traffic times. There's no excuse for the City not to reduce the speed limit from Frantz to Dale Drive, and then enforce it.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

We live on Franklin, and we like the walkability of the core area; we'd like to see that expanded as development happens. Continue to make sure that South High Street business can be viable (don't over-regulate the uses, etc).

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

1. efficiently moving through the area (no congestion)2. an attractive high energy district3. parking solutions for the public4. Future Damage by snow removal equipment and trucks will be continuous repair/maintenance need toachieve the desired long term look.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

I'd like to see a mixed-use area, with plenty of green space/park area. I'd like to see the walkabilty being maintained, while accommodating a reasonable amount of traffic so people can get to where they need to go. It would be great to have most needs met right in the area as they are now. Perhaps more space for community organization offices, or to use when needed -- I'm thinking a multi-use, multi-office facility.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Traffic on 161/Bridge Street including both volume and speed. I'm concerned that additional development may remove much of the existing green space except for Indian Run Park and the Grounds of Remembrance. Please keep the area pedestrian & bike friendly. The trails help, but people still don't seem to expect pedestrians to be using them. Lastly, keeping rents for businesses/housing at affordable levels would be good. I say this because the rents for the Bridge Park apartments across the river are such that I couldn't afford to live there: More than twice the payment on my condo, including the association fee.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Better control speeding.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

to make it safe for pedestrians to walk without danger of heavy traffic and crazy drivers too much car/truck traffic. Not safe for children to walk around the corridor now

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

You can't turn safely out of North street the library because visibility is limited due to parking spots always full on N High street in front of the library across from Oscars - a not well thought out design and a huge liability for everyone! The traffic lights especially for turning left or right are not safe or timed correctly especially if trying to turn at the intersections of 161 and High ... a left hand turn onto 161 from Jeni's is deadly especially for school buses and then the line of cars waiting to turn causes a bottle neck of traffic blocking cars trying to exit the Dub tavern, Starbucks parking lot ... a bad design!

Also trim the trees so the high pedestrian flashing signs are visible. Right now you can't see the flashing sign if heading south on Dublin Road towards 161 intersection.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Car traffic flow and the consegested traffic coming from Downtown along Dublin Road crossing 161 or turning to go to Sawmill etc. it puts too much demand on this little tiny intersection and drivers get frustrated and speed. This area is NOT safe for walkers of any age and Dublin is fortunate more people haven't been hit.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

travel through it daily because I work and live in the corridor so I have to fit the commuters using this area as a shortcut to 161, Sawmill or 270The car traffic has far outgrown this area!

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

I see the corridor look somewhat like the Arena District in downtown Columbus -- minus the sports venues.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Main concern is that the corridor keeps growing and gets out of hand. Right now you've done an excellent job of blending the future and the past together.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

The roundabout -- in hindsight, it would have been great to have northbound traffic have an under/overpass like the the southbound traffic.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I travel through the roundabout several times a day; I live in Waterford Village and my office is on Sawmill -- just 2 miles apart. The traffic, particularly in the evening, is extremely bad. It can take me up to 45 minutes to get home as the northbound traffic blocks traffic going east & west. I now go home across the Hayden Run bridge. It may be longer, but it's quicker.

1 huge issue. The flower pots block your view when you are turning on to Bridge St from Darby St. They are too big and driver can't see around them to turn.

Get rid of 3 parking spots in front of Oscar's. Again parked cars block view when turning Rt onto High from North St.

I would like to be able to continue to walk, or ride my bike to downtown Dublin. We like to kayak and I would like to see more places like restarants where we could kayak to and eat lunch or dinner, with a kayak docking spot.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

The new roundabout is confusing for people that don't live in Dublin and it also does the opposite of moving traffic along.

I would change it back to a small town atmosphere. I don't like that we are trying to make it an Easton.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

Above all, very nicely landscaped as it is the entrance to Dublin. Kroger plaza and McDonalds and the bank on the corner should all be torn down and re-built. . can still be anchored with Kroger, but perhaps have a town square feel in the middle with parking lot more hidden behind

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

condos are fine, but have to be upscale with greenspace and setbacks. I would include the use of upscale townhouses like the ones they built downtown (on gay st. I think) I would tear down the elementary school and use that valuable space for condos, shopping or a city center hall e.t.c.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

the trees lining the roads in old dublin are not attractive. they should be removed with more stately trees put in. our old district does not look as polished as worthington's. I would rebuild a few of the buildings to the right of brazenhead .. . nicer looking

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

it doesn't seem very cohesive. the embassy suites tried to add some nice landscaping as you enter the corridor . .more thought to improve overall look and continuity as you head into old dublin

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

Being across from a middle school, I think it is important to not have businesses that are not compatible with children, for instance bars, any stores selling alcohol or cigarettes, etc. I think it is vital to retain as much green space as possible as well, considering that area is right next to a church and a cemetery. The atmosphere needs to not be night clubby, and with tasteful merchants, such as book stores, cafes, etc. A high rise would not fit in with the character of that area either, and would cause enormous traffic problems in a school zone. The architecture should be traditional, tasteful and low key. Another consideration is safe crossing across the street, which is already hazardous, with all the traffic. People can ostensibly use the cross walk and traffic is supposed to stop - but I am through there multiple times a day, and see kids running across the street, and cars not stopping at the crosswalk. Maybe a couple of pretty, elevated walkways? There are kids all over that area after school, waiting on rides or just hanging out. That needs to be fully considered in any new design.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

No high rises, consideration of the actual amount of parking needed for any new residents, because it is already tough to park downtown. Make the architecture fit in appropriately with the historic buildings already there. Consider over the road, elevated walkways for safe street crossing by pedestrians. Most people won't walk 2 blocks to cross the street at a light.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

The amount of traffic is already enormous. It changes the small-town feel that most Dubliners would like to maintain downtown. Too much more traffic and development and it will start to feel like every other strip mall development, and not a charming, walkable downtown.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I drive through that exact area at least 2 times daily, usually more. I shop at the Krogers on the corner, go to Starbucks, hang out at the library, and more. It is a great area, but getting too busy for my taste. I don't want Dublin to feel like the rest of Columbus. Right now it feels cleaner, safer, easier to navigate, and more artistically and architecturally appealing than the vast majority of areas around Columbus, which is why I choose to live here. I don't want the downtown to lose its classy, high-end feel, by becoming overly commercially developed.

Recreational uses if feasible/high density residential otherwise. Would it be much cheaper to build a park here than moving major roadways and building an expensive bridge to gain a few acres of park like on the east side of the river? If that is not feasible, there is a very nice stream and ravine that should have park land around it to protect and provide public access to the area if other development is done.

Walkable, cosistent architecture with a nod to the original buildings, a reduction in speed and the amount of traffic and the use of trees, green space.

People drive too fast and crossing the road is an unsafe adventure as drivers do not obey crosswalks signage. I would also like to see more green space and trees intertwined with development. The Kroger plaza needs updated. As it does not represent a positive entrance.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Amount of traffic and the speed that people drive.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

Live in the Killilea subdivision and walk, bike, and frequent the area. Drive through it daily.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

intersection of bridge and high causes backups on east/north/south/west from the intersection. It makes me avoid going to the library plus the businesses in the area. The businesses struggle with parking because so many people are at the restaurants you can't get near them. It is also unnerving to ride a bicycle through the area, at any time of the day. You are forced to ride on the sidewalks to stay out of the way of cars.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

A welcoming village scale (2 stories, max) mix of retail, office, institutional and residential with architectural detail and landscaping. NO tall structures. It needs to blend with and transition to Historic Dublin. If a developer can't make $ on that, it can stay green.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Scale. Keep the Historic Dublin ambiance and attraction. Keep Kroger, etc so I can walk and bike there. Keep "tomorrow-land" on the East side. Thanks for asking for our ideas.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

The Kroger shopping center shops are essential and need to stay and keep the area walkable.but it has no architectural character or charm. I wish it did.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

To have a vibrant, thriving mix of small, unique businesses and a smattering of residential options in this area.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Traffic and parking! Especially parking. It's already hard to find parking in downtown Dublin and it's not nearly the size or scope of the planned developments underway. In addition, I'm concerned that the new developments will hurt the existing businesses in downtown Dublin. We need to be sure chains do not take over this area. It needs to remain independently owned and unique.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Shrink the scope of the project. It seems like Dublin is trying to become another Arena District without the "draw" of a full-fledged downtown with theaters and sports arenas, etc. I'm concerned that the project is too big and will not get fully rented/leased by businesses OR residents. Do NOT want another large, vacant building in Dublin. There are already enough of those.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I frequent many of the businesses in downtown Dublin now and I am at the library about every other week. I adore our downtown and know (& appreciate) how far it's come since the crossroads were home to two ugly gas stations.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

Overall, leave it alone, and allow spotty redevelopment--don't over-think it, manipulate it, or accelerate it. There's no hurry to "change" it. Another gas station would be handy--I hate having to wait at the Sunoco. There used to be a third station, just West of the cemetery, but it was torn down. Not sure why.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

1. Access to the McDonald's at Frantz Rd. is not intuitive--it needs an easy-in entrance from Bridge Street, eastbound.(Copy Sawmill Pkwy in Powell) 2. Parking for an evening visit to the library is currently a hassle. 3. There are somequaint "Frank Lloyd Wright cottages" on Monterey Dr. in the affected area, kind of a blue-collar guy's entry to themidwestern ranch house. They scream '50s Americana, and must be retained. Don't let those great single-familyhomes be demolished in favor of more mult-family high-rise housing.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Allow larger signage, such as for the BP ProCare garage, and better mark the Post Office.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

It is a great "small-town" feel. Heading eastbound, there's lodging and grocery at the end of the ramp from the interstate, banks and gasoline retailers, a City-owned cemetery, old but vibrant church, then new dense retail, and a quaint old but fully functional 4 lane bridge with generous-width sidewalk. Heading west, there's new retail, a restaurant in the old post-office in front of the library, school buildings, an auto repair garage, professional buildings, and then classic car retail. It works for me! I've heard rumors that the school buildings will be razed for multi-story multi-family apartments--that would be a sad, unfortunate use. The school site could support a parking garage at East end, and then a long retail center (like Lane Ave), with shops-offices-services, and some drive-through fast-food out front on the boulevard for commuters and walkers. My experience has been fine, driving and walking through the area to patronize Graeter's and Roush Hardware.

Gas stations are a necessity, but the ones we have are ugly and always priced high. No more banks. Love Kroger and Roush Hardware.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

I am a big fan of underground utilities. Make the poles and wires go away. We also need to divert some of the Sawmill traffic. I like the plan for the John Shields bridge.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

I live in Waterford Village. When I turn on Monterey from Bridge Street I do not like the rentals on both sides of the street. They look horrible. Make them go away.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

I appreciate that there is a lot of condos/walkable housing going into the area, and the trendy shops/restaurants, but we still need some plain-old functional things too. I use PNC, Kroger, Rousch, and other stores in this corridor a lot. We still need this, and not just bistros and bars.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

A lot of people go from 270N to Dublin Road north, through this area. Right now we can make a convoluted path up Post Road, past Coffman High School, and back across Brand, but this isn't efficient. Otherwise we have to go through multiple lights to make the left in downtown Dublin. I come from Nationwide Children's, and of my whole commute, getting from the highway to the corner of Dublin Road/Emerald Parkway is the slowest part of my commute. I almost wish there were an off ramp right there so I could go from 270N to Dublin Road at Emerald directly (where the highway passes over that intersection anyway)

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Traffic flow. Making is look a little prettier without going overboard.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

to make it more residential - not so business oriented - but not like Bridge Park; would prefer more patio-type townhomes (low structures) and more walking/bike trails nearby

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

1) from the diagram, it is unclear if both sides of Corbins Mill Drive are included, or just the north side; we would like aresponses to this via our email address2) development characteristics - do not want the same type of residential office/retail/residence structures as in thecurrent Bridge Park development3) roadway characteristics - do not want more roundabouts, especially large ones like at Bridge Park; we feel they areextremely dangerous4) physical characteristics - we live on the south side of Corbins Mill Drive in the Village of Corbins Mill CondoAssociation; we bought here because walking distance to many things - restaurants, banks, park, easy access toexpressway, etc.; the street is very pretty & is lovely to get out & take a walk about; we feel threatened that you areenvisioning a Bridge Park development-like concept on top of us (or maybe our home doesn't exist at all anymore?);we have no problem with development at Metro Park, but leave Corbins Mill Drive residences alone

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

traffic concerns!there is way too much traffic - going way too fast on Corbins Mill Drive - coming from Metro Place;we would not object to making this a one-way street going west from Bridge Street - or - close it off & make it a non-thru street with access only from Frantz Road;less traffic so less noise would be wonderful - we treasure our weekends because of less traffice on street!

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently reside within the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

we currently reside at Corbins Mill Drive - is our side of the street included in outline area?if not, what are we going to be looking at across the street is our fear - the condo complex across Corbins Mill Drive is well-kept & gives the street a very nice environment.

An upscale mix of business and residential that leads the nation in high tech, next industrial revolution jobs and high income residents with top notch public schools and low crime.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

We need to keep the safety of the area. Also need to make it family friendly during the day and early evening, while providing entertainment for adults at night.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Remove all the trucks except those delivering supplies to local businesses. Make it more walker friendly, traffic from non-residents that don't respect the fact that Dublin is a residential neighborhoods leads to safety issues. Think of how traffic respects walkers on campus or other suburbs.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

Weekly dinner dates with wife, bike rides to eat ice cream with family during the summer, happy hour with guys and kids going to school and playing sports at the middle school.

Green spaces, traffic, pedestrian access

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Make the park/public spaces larger, I was disappointed with the small area reserved for public use once riverside drive was relocated. This is a good chance to recover some green space in the Bridge St. corridor.

Will it be able to sustain businesses? The plaza across street hasn't as well as Dublin village center is empty-also traffic on riverside drive is already congested

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

The THREE lane traffic circle is insane for that location and amount of traffic--have t talked to one person whoLikes it and most think it's dangerous

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

Restaurants, New Kroger with parking behind hidden, get rid of strip mall look. I like having the schools there, keeps the small town feel and coziness of Dublin. Need nice activities for kids.. maybe a nice day care there also. Would like a roundabout at Frantz and 33.. also would be nice to see the toy barn have a bigger profile. Underground electrical, and nicer landscaping.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Still has that strip mall area feel.. does not seem like a high end area. Needs to really be a grand entrance to Dublin or landmark.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Get rid of strip mall feel, slow traffic down, and create a grander entrance to Dublin feel.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

There should be more options for shopping such as boutiques, cafes, art galleries, etc. More residential is a concern due to the additional impact on traffic. The best part of Dublin is Old Dublin - with its shopping and eating. Extending this will give even a higher appeal.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Parts of this area are more run down, lesser of a visual appeal than other parts of Dublin. Also, high traffic zone, so a better traffic partner would be great if possible.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Less traffic, more walkability, better visual appeal.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I travel through the corridor weekly (not daily), often to go to the shopping/eating of Old Dublin.

walkable from frantz road to sawmill road.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Obviously there has been little new development there in years. What is there is a hodgepodge. I'd like to see a tree-lined boulevard. The traffic is miserable.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

I don't spend a lot of time in this area or downtown Dublin. I'd like to, but the traffic is too dangerous. It's probably not possible, but I would love to see SR 161 rerouted onto 270 E and US 33 rerouted onto 270 S. Then make the speed limit 25.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

Although it might be difficult, I would like this corridor to more closely resemble what is being planned and developed within the new area along re-aligned Riverside Drive. This corridor feels disconnected, and I think a large shopping strip - while important and full of retail - makes the corridor seem less welcoming. Making it feel more in-line with the newdevelopment, complete with improved walkability and biking, would be my hope.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Improving the complete street layout: aligning it with the roundabout as well as the "real" US 33 and I-270 entrances while also improving the pedestrian and biking feel. With new hotels being built at each end of this corridor, I'd like the stretch to be more welcoming and more pedestrian friendly.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Modernization: The corridor looks and feels dated, especially the stretch with the Kroger shopping strip.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I travel through the corridor on a regular basis and I frequent some of the retail and library on a regular basis.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

Additional restaurants and bars would add more life to this area. Near High Street, I think this area should provide a transition from the historic district on south High to the Bridge Park West district. Towards 270, development should be more Bridge Park-like as a transition to Metro Center and points south on Frantz.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Parking is a concern, especially with additional development. I would also like to see improved multipurpose paths throughout this area for both bicyclists and pedestrians.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Opening a multiuse path to incorporate the pedestrian underpass under I-270 just north of Post Road. This could tie together Coffman Park and the planned park by Bridge Park East, linking the 2 premier public parks in the area.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I live off of Avery road and visit this area by car often for library, barbershop, restaurants etc. I have biked to this area a couple times but is not vety bike friendly and tough to get to.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

I'd hoped the park would be the draw. Not stores or restaurants. A place for people to meet and enjoy the outdoors. Maybe it's too soon for me to judge but I don't see an enlargement of the park area to accommodate a large number of people.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Eating options for a variety of patrons regardless of income, not a playground for the wealthy. Food trucks could be an option. Heavy traffic. Not sure the new alternative roads will help enough. Especially since they are single lanes and Tuller Road is not accessible traveling east directly from Riverside Drive anymore.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

Too late. Wished the park would be more expansive, cover more area. Doesn't look like Riverside Drive was really moved further east from the Scioto River's edge. Wish the white wall that borders Riverside Drive as it goes under West Bridge Street near the roundabout did not exist. The best part of the road was the view and now it no longer exists.

Pedestrian friendly, resident friendly environment that attracts people to slow down, meander through stores and along river.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

Traffic. It is already a challenge to get to my house during after work rush hour. People take short cut through Blacksmith and S. Riverview, speeding through carelessly. Also, general lack of concern for quality and safety for residents in area.

Slow and/or reroute traffic.

the speed of the traffic through there.

My vision is a welcome sign so you know you arrived at your destination, instead of a parking lot and a McDonald's that you cannot figure out how to get to. You do not notice that there is a bank there. There needs to be a gate way and something that states that we are proud of our community.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

My issues instead of a parking lot and a McDonald's that you cannot figure out how to get to how do you bring the business to the street view, while still having enough parking in the back, like an alley style, And you do not notice that there is a bank there on the corner.

The one thing I would change is the parking lot grand entrance...

Giant Riverside roundabout is not a good way to move traffic. High rises at that corner and across the river at the library are not in keeping with small town charm.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

To see the area become a destination for residents and visitors alike. Small business and entertainment within walking distance from residental areas.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

The corridor is a high traffic area, creating some type of sequenced traffic control is a concern.Keepng the old town/hometown feel is a must, trees and green space, but also the need for parking and walking space. Developement is necessary to keep the area moving forward to the future of Dublin. Developement should included, community/public spaces, residental, entertainment, casual and fine dining, business and retail.

Q3: If you could change one thing in this area, what would it be?

The hardest part, obviously.... the traffic. If something could be done to regulate the amount of traffic that flows thru the area at one time. Maybe sequenced traffic control systems as an example.

Q4: What is your experience with the corridor? (i.e. business is located within the corridor, currently residewithin the corridor, travel through it daily, etc.)

I travel thru corridor almost every day, and have for most of my life. Lived in the area for 40 years and just recently moved out, but still travel it for my daily drive to and from work and play.

Q1: What is your vision for the corridor in 20+ years? (i.e. future businesses, residents, attractions, etc.)

To achieve the goals of the city (gateway from 270 to Bridge Park, attract business & vibrance), while preserving the integrity and history of this area.

Q2: What are your key issues/concerns with the West Bridge Street Corridor?(i.e. roadway characteristics, physical characteristics of the area, development characteristics etc.)

This area is rich in history. It was "Dublin" before it was "Dublin." I would hate to see it transform into an unrecognizable environment. The area has preserved a "small town" feel nestled within a busy area. Less high-density dwellings and businesses that "price-out" residents is better. More green space, preservation of historical appointments, and walkability is even more so.
