1. Iowa 511 shows winter road conditions, traffic speeds, traffic cameras, road construction, and dynamic message signs. This is a vendor developed app, and supports iOS and Android for both tablets and smartphones. 2. Iowa Driver’s Test is a practice written test for an Iowa driver’s license. This is a vendor developed app, and supports iOS (tablet only) and Android (tablet and smartphone). 3. myMVD is a mobile enabled HTML5 app that allows for online Iowa driver’s license renewal, viewing of a driving record, and changing a driver’s mailing address. This app was developed in-house.

For the last couple of years we have used an internal instance of SharePoint to collaborate with others, and as the location for all of the DOT’s policies and procedures.

IN We allow SharePoint as a collaboration tool with external vendors. Additionally, teams can create robust sites for communication when necessary. It is emphatically emphasized that SharePoint sites and documents within SharePoint are not supported by the IT division. Important documents should be stored in our UCM system.

IA #14 Additional Comments: Mobile app development vendor contracts now state that native apps will be published in the app stores by the Iowa DOT under the Iowa DOT’s store accounts.

Some of the response boxes are too short - here's what we wanted to say for: 10) Mobile devices are currently allowed to connect to MS Exchange and are minimally managed via ActiveSync. The agency is currently evaluating Mobile Device Management systems for future use. 14) The state of Kansas owns all intellectual / copyright for applications developed by external vendors.

KY I highly recommend that a clearinghouse be established for sharing members internally developed or owned applications. This should be open with no hard rules or bureaucracy.
