Adaptive fog reduction function

Bright HDTV color images can be obtained with just 0.3 lxillumination—up to 64-time integration enables nighttimephotographing. In addition, adaptive noise reduction makes iteasy to shoot moving objects.

The adaptive fog reduction function produces clear and distinctimages by applying suitable correction to the original imageaffected by photochemical smog or other natural phenomenasuch as fog or haze, which are typically observed in an outdoorsurveillance environment.

Backlight correction helps improve the clarity of images duringsurveillance in a location where targets are backlit by such lightsources as sunlight coming through windows. The character generation function is useful for identifying different surveillance locations.

Image data accumulation makes it possible to increase the brightness of images taken in a dark place.

In addition to the adaptive backlight correction useful in locations with a lot of backlight, the dark area tone correction functioncorrects the tone of dark areas to produce images optimized tothe scene.

Various viewer displays are available including that for full HDcameras. Includes display offset function to freely divide andallocate the screen.

Supports both H.264 and JPEG compression methods to produce full HD (1920 x 1080), 30 fps high-definition images. The resolution is 7 times that of conventional VGA and 1.5 times that of typicalmega-pixel cameras.

H.264 is an advanced video compression technology that allows creating quality of image compared to traditional MPEG-2 method that isnow utilized for digital broadcasting at a 1:2 or higher compression ratio. In addition, a multi-coding/decoding system can offer a selection of compression methods such as H.264,MPEG-4, and JPEG.

The progressive scan method is employed rather than the interlaced scan method because of the superiority of the former over the latter indynamic resolution. In addition, quantization noise is reduced as the signals from sensor are digitally processed and directly subjected tocoding/decoding processing.

It is possible to utter it from the speaker while confirmingthe camera image in the remote place. Oppositely, the voiceon the site can be confirmed with the mike. The networksystem can be able to do the situation of the site even in aplace away by the wireless, and to construct the monitoringsystem by the image and the voice.

This repeater system makes it easy to establish communication links between fixed points. The SINELINK series supports a variety of user require-ments including municipal “digital divide” counter-measures, optical fiber extension, office communi-cation links, temporary emergency communication links in case of disasters, and so on.

Similar face images are quickly searched from large amounts of stored images and displayed quickly.

Using EM-CCD (electron-multiplying CCD), Starlight EYE cameras can deliver color motion images as if in daylight, even whenthe lighting level is that of moonlight. Also, while the edges may be blurred by residual images in the case of integration-typehigh-sensitivity cameras, this camera delivers clearly recognizable edges even for moving objects.

The preset function is available with the PTZ camera platforms andthe HC Series all-in-one PTZ cameras. This function allows specificsurveillance points to be preprogrammed in the camera system andautomatically turn the camera to these points to cover or zoom intothem at the specified time.Preprogramming is possible for 16 to 256 points, although the numberof points varies depending on models.

*Even when the targets are scattered in various locations at different distances, Presetting these target points beforehand allows them to be checked in a similar size, as the camera can turns toward and zoom into them automatically (and quickly) simply at the touch of a button.

Minimum Object IlluminationMinimum object illumination is defined as the illumination level that is nec-essary for the camera to recognize a white color with reflectivity of 89.9 % around the subject.
