MEOS Surface Ship Optronics SystemsMission success often depends on the quality of information obtained in all operational environments, which is why Hensoldt Optronics seeks to of-fer the most reliable surface surveil-lance system. Hensoldt’s Maritime Electro Optical Systems (MEOS) are for observation and surveillance as well as reconnaissance and target-ing in all weather and light conditions. With an integrated SWIR Camera, the MEOS III is providing enhanced visu-alization and ranging especially during fog or haze conditions. MEOS sys-tems are characterized by a naval tar-get acquisition and tracking system. The MEOS systems are ruggedized platforms that support multiple mari-time operational activities such as col-lision avoidance in poor visibility, situ-ational awareness of the surrounding air water space and target acquisition to include detection identification and tracking.
