All these features are packed into a tester that is built to withstand the rigours of field use. Yet SureTest ® manages to weigh 50% less than most other testers on the market (765g) - a real bonus when you’re testing all day. Very low power consumption means it’s frugal on batteries too which helps reduce lifetime support costs further. SureTest ® Installation Tester Innovation with a Purpose.

IDEAL developed the SureTest® Installation Tester to provide electricians with all thefeatures they need for testing domestic, commercial and industrial fixed wiring installations. A few seconds is all it takes to make accurate loop impedance measurements that won’t trip RCD’s. At the same time both Prospective Short Circuit Current (PSCC) and Prospective Earth Fault Current (PEFC) are calculated and displayed assuring quick and error free reporting.

The uncluttered front panel and simple menu structure provide a really intuitive way to navigate around the tester and features like Auto-RCD help save time on the job. A separate Ramp Test allows the user to quickly identify RCDs that are prone to nuisance tripping.

When testing continuity, a clever null feature “zeros out” test lead resistance helping to reduce measurement errors, whilst a wide range of applications are supported with insulation test voltages of 250, 500 and 1000V. A remote test probe is also on hand to make life easier when working in awkward locations.

SureTest® fully complies with the 17th Edition wiring regulations by incorporating three phase indication. A mode that alerts users to open phases and indicates the sequence of the connected lines on 3-phase systems.

All these features are packed into a tester that is built to withstand the rigours of field use. Yet SureTest® manages to weigh 50% less than most other testers on the market (765g) - a real bonus when you’re testing all day. Very low power consumption means it’s frugal on batteries too which helps reduce lifetime support costs further.

Auto-RCD mode saves trips back and forth to the distribution board. Once the Test button is pressed, resetting of the RCD is all that’s required. When complete all test data is available to scroll through on screen.

A ramp test helps identify RCDs that are prone to nuisance tripping. The tester ramps up the applied current until the RCD trips and then displays the reading on screen.

The “NULL” feature allows you to reliably zero out test lead resistance assuring accurate R1 + R2 continuity measurements. During this mode the continuity beeper can be switched on or off.

Irrespective of whether the high current or non-tripping loop range is selected, fast and accurate results are guaranteed. At the same time the PEFC/PSCC value is calculated and displayed.
