INTERNSHIP &ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Establishing Standardized Work and Lean Line Design for Common Rail Pump Housing Manufacturing (Major Project Intern) (Jan 2013-May 2013)

Required study for this project was done at “Robert Bosch GMBH”. Objective was to standardize the work content of the OP30 area by applying Method study, Time

study and Tecnomatix Plant Simulation Software. Optimized Result was achieved by performing Line Balancing Process, Plotting StAB chart, Man-

Machine chart, Two-Handed Process Chart, Operator Balance chart. Received Best Project Award.

Effect of Drilling Parameters on Drilled hole Circularity (2015)

• Objective was to compare the Effects on Circularity of the drilled holes by changing the Diameter of drill bit, Material kind, Presence of coolant, Rev/min of drill bit.

• After conducting the drilling experiment in the university lab, we obtained values with 2 replications of the experiment.

• Using Minitab we input the values and performed Anova (Analysis of variance) calculations repeatedly and with the help of the Pareto Chart, Residual Plots, we were able to skim insignificant combination of factors from the table at every step till we found significant factors.

• The result from Minitab was cross verified successfully by manually doing the calculations in Excel using the Yates table format and performing Regression.

Capital Expenditure Report on a Fictional Casino Project done for Project Management Course (2015)

• All the information in this project was done from gathering materials on Internet through extensive research and activities shown in professional format.CER was made to request funding approval on construction of this project.

• Organizational Chart and rough design of construction planning was shown using Microsoft Visio.• Work breakdown Structure was done using Microsoft Word and Gantt Chart (Time Duration of

Project) using Microsoft Project.• Calculated Cost Estimate, Capital Budgeting (Net Present Value and Payback Period), Cash Flow and

Break Even Point. Implemented Sustainability and Risk Mitigation Concepts.

Research Project on Marketing and Distribution of a Company for Supply Chain Management Course (2015)

• Company assigned was PAPIRIUS SPOL. S.R.O. and how Office Depot came to acquire them.• Extensive Research was done on the stated company to study its Marketing and Distribution

Strategies.• After finding out the strategies used, we studied the concepts utilized by Office Depot and found

out the shortcomings in Papirius that led to Office Depot acquiring them.• Our Objective was achieved by providing better strategies and recommendations based on the

knowledge of Supply Chain Concepts that could have theoretically avoided Office Depot’s Threat to Papirius. Specifics of this project will be provided on request.

manufacturing a product using your ideas and skills learned in Cost and Production Economy Course (2015)

LONS Corporation was our project team’s company manufacturing Ergonomic Multipurpose table. A rough design of our product was made and came up with the required materials and parts.

After that we showed how the Cost Principles and techniques will be incorporated in the company and the potential benefits of incorporating them as a result of our research and studying case studies.

Through Research we deduced a rough estimation of all the parameters involved in working of this company, hence we used Activity based costing to determine the operating income and gross margin. Reciprocal Method of Cost Allocation was done to understand the co-relation between costs involved in Support and Production Dept. We also explained the Risks involved in new Strategy Implementation and also provided Sustainability analysis.

Break Even Points was used to determine the before and after effect of the cost in implementing new techniques and we found that the cost of implementing the new techniques was justified.
