Entry Requirements
Direct Entry:• A-Levels: Required and preferred subjects, sometimes specific
GCSEs too
• IB: 35 points including HL and subject-specific requirements
• American Diploma: 3 AP subjects or 3 SAT-S, plus 1900++ SAT-R or 28++ ACT
• Foundation (non-King’s): on a case-by-case basis depending on UG programme of choice, Foundation subject content and structure, awarding body, assessment methods, guaranteed progression if offered by a university, high school grades, etc. A syllabus of the Foundation may be requested from the applicant and this will be considered by the Admissions Tutor.
King’s International Foundation:• 70-80% in high school certificate for the final 2 years plus
subject-specific requirements for Science pathways
English Language requirements
Vary by Department:
• IELTS 7.5 to 6.0
• TOEFL iBT 109 to 80
King’s International Foundation:
• IELTS 5.5 (6.0 for Law) –non-EU nationals must submit an IELTS for UKVI
English Language requirements• IGCSE/GCSE English First Language: Pass at grade B with
grade B (or equivalent) in all four components of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking
• IGCSE/GCSE English Second Language: Pass at grade A with grade A (or equivalent) in all four components of Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking
• O Level English: Pass at grade B with grade B (or equivalent) in all four components of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking
• International Baccalaureate English Language/English Language & Literature:
English A: Standard Level 5; Higher Level 4
English B: Standard Level 7; Higher Level 5
Fees & Funding
Overseas tuition fees 2016-17:
• Classroom-based courses: £16,250**• Laboratory-based courses: £21,750**• Clinical Year fees: £37,350**• MPharm: £19,000**• International Foundation: £16,250**
