Supporting the VSWR Test without Using SiteMaster
1 Function Description This function enables the measurement and query of the VSWR.
The VSWR test needs to be started manually. Since services are disrupted duringthe test, you need to perform a forced handover for the services before starting theVSWR test.Main scenario: fter the site is activated, you can log in to the SMT or !MT andquery the VSWR to determine "hether connection faults e#ist in the antennasystem.
The SMT or !MT soft"are should support the high$precision VSWR test. The VSWR test can be performed in the follo"ing modes:
Frequency Domain Reflectometer (FDR) VSWR test The %&R VSWR test features advancement and high precision. Theoptimi'ed &R%( supports this mode. )ote that the optimi'ed &R%(refers to the optimi'ed hard"are version of the *TS+ --V+--R-- /-0. 1n %&R mode, the position of the standing "ave tothe antenna connector is displayed clearly.
Non-FDR VSWR test The optimi'ed &R%(, the &RR(, the 2RR(, and the 2R%( supportthis mode.
*efore performing a VSWR test, you must determine the test mode according to theboard type.Select a proper test mode according to the board type before starting VSWR test.
2 Operation Procedure The follo"ing description ta3es the &R%( of the *TS+ -- 2SM as an e#ample toe#plain the VSWR measurement procedure. This VSWR measurement procedure isalso applicable to the &*S+ -- 2SM and *TS+ -- 2SM.
The version of the SMT for the VSWR test should be *TS+---V4--R-- /44*454 orlater.
Procedure for Testing the VSWR on the SMT To test the VSWR on the SMT, perform the follo"ing steps:

Procedure for Testing the VSWR on the LMT1n one *TS, tests are performed in series. 1n the case of multiple *TSs, tests can beperformed in parallel.
To test the VSWR of a single *TS on the !MT, perform the follo"ing steps:
